Of course, if your future self was smart, he'd not even warn you in order to avoid a temporal paradox (tome loop, to be specific). And if logic were to win over emotion, I wouldn't take his advice in order to avoid the same, but I'm an emotional being. I wouldn't like to live a ruined life. I'd listen to him. Timeline be damned!

My future self would know to hand me an explaination of how or why.

Without that, I'd take the money

Hell no... hypothetically. I'd probably end up taking it if it was real life because I'd be too busy pissing myself over winning that much money. If I actually thought it through though, then no.

I'd give the money to one of my enemies. >:)
...and I also voted to keep it on accident.

I'd take the money and NOT do what I planning to do in the first place, thereby averting future me's worries.

Simples.

no, i trust myself more than anyone else so, as long as i knew it was me, i would never

and for the people saying that creates a paradox, it doesnt
we're never told that the future me took the money, it could just be that it was like a gameshow and if you dont take it, someone else gets it and then a few days later the person who took it was found murdered and robbed along with all his family and friends who were shown to be tortured in order to gain alarm codes and building plans and all

i mean just in such a way that you know that if you had taken it, you would have definitely destroyed your life and others' around you

but damn
id love a hundred million

A hypothetical question guys:

You suddenly won £10,000,000 from somewhere (where is not important). Its totally legit. Just as you were about to accept the money your future-self appears from a portal or something with a warning: "Dont take the money it will ruin your life and others around you" Your future self jumps back into the portal and disappears.

Would you take the money?
If there is anything I learned in life, it is that how much of a moron I was in my past and that I would slap my past self silly if I ever went back in time. So if my future self showed up and told me that the money would ruin my life, I would figure that he probably has a very good reason for saying so. In such a case, I would reject the offer.

Having money is great, but ultimately, it's just money. It's not worth being unhappy over it.

You all don't have any choice, you'd take the money, beacuse if you don't than your future self would of never came to warn you, and you in the future would have to come back to warn you right now! And that means the future you took the money too even when the future future you came to warn the future you. You can't break the chain...

I don't trust myself today, so why would I trust future me?

I'd take the money, develop a time machine, travel to the future and laugh in future me's face.

Well, the fact that future you exists means that you ended up taking the money. If you didn't take it you wouldn't exist in the future to warn yourself in the past, thus meaning that the future you wouldn't have existed in the first place to warn you about taking the money. Thus you would end up taking the money, causing it to repeat in the first place.

I say! That's Good! But in that case than it's impossible FOR you to take the money. In these time travel steam changing things there's no choice, cause in the future you would have went back and told yourself not to take it anyways.

Exactly! You don't have a choice!
