putting the highly addictive reasons aside, i'm TERRIFIED of needles... i could NEVER stick myself with one EVEN if it would save my LIFE... yes, it's that bad... i'd have to get someone to knock me out and do it for me. so no... i'd never do it.
Hah! Me too.

Even if I was to get over the fact that I'd be hooked for life, I wouldn't be able to stand sticking myself with a needle...I just can't do it.

No... It is a awful drug that destroys the user and the people around him/her. I have seen this first hand and would never touch the stuff even if I was forced at gunpoint...

Fuck no. Anything above marijuana in the "fucking up your body" scale gets a no. And I'd only try weed if it was legal.

Nah, I'm not into drugs , if fact, I hate them...

BUT, from a strictly moral point of view, Heroin SHOULD be legal, just as any other drug out there; it's just that, if they were legalized, well...I think it's self explanatory really.

"First it turns you into a thief and a whore, then it kills you. Massive fucking embolisms with a needle in your arm? If that's heroin, you can fucking keep it."

-Lemmy

It's quite telling that the man who has tried every other drug under the sun refuses to go near it.

No. I have not done any drugs in my life and I do not intend to ever do any. I can hardly even comprehend why people do it to themselves. I mean, I can see how it happens but its so self destructive. I work with police and there are so many heroine addicts in the town I work in, it is just...terrible.
You do know that alcohol, caffeine and tobacco are considered drugs right?
Why assume that he consumes any of those?

Frankly, I'd sooner take heroin than any of those.
You'd take heroin over a cup of coffee or a beer? Priorities issues much?

I did once, it is really scary stuff because it is so incredibly good. Instant inner bliss
Once it wore off (i smoked it) i decided to never do that shit again.
I have a newfound respect for people that kicked a heroin habbit, those people must have incredible inner strenght.
The harder part about quiting the habit besides the addiction is every person you love or care about will never look at you the same way and will be less likely to trust you... This does not include every individual, but I would say the great majority would be this way. People that have no support and still kick the addiction and are able to live life again free have my respect. Ofcorse you can have people that try to support you, but you never quit and thus bring pain to those you love...

Um, no.

Really, the only recreational drugs I ever see myself doing are Marijuana and Alcohol. I try to avoid drinking except when I'm with friends or at a party, though. And even then I still try to keep it within moderation.

Marijuana on the other hand... well, I haven't yet seen any convincing arguments with any actual proof to convince me that smoking weed is bad. So I'll do that whenever it's available and I don't have any real responsibilities to take care of.

No, because hard drugs such as heroin are obviously unhealthy.
So is 90% of all legal drugs... Pulling percentages out of thin air, but you get what I am saying. None are good, but some are needed. Heroin is not needed...

Crime would likely go down as people trafficking and selling it would have to be licensed and wouldn't get much business if they weren't, people using it and in possession of it would no longer be arrested as long as they weren't doing something ludicrous while on it, and people would likely be less prone to trying it if they were properly educated about it and it weren't so taboo (in other words, illegal).

Besides drugs kinda fall into that "do what you want, it's your life" category, so, like you said, from a moral point of view, if someone wants to inject potentially deadly chemicals and toxins into their body, let them. Granted, they should be properly educated about the pros and cons beforehand.

There is no beneficial reason to consume heroin. Its like asking me if I want to eat concrete. Why would I do that?

It's the same reason why I don't smoke and why I only drink casually and never to the point where I'm drunk (heck, I barely drink to the point where I get tipsy and thats only if I'm at home relaxing with my friends). I only drink things that I genuinely enjoy the taste of. Hence why I hardly drink beer. Less than I handful I actually consider having flavor worth drinking.

Nope, I refuse to take any drug, even prescription drugs unless it's a life or death scenario. I have no respect for those who take drugs such as Heroin, Meth, Acid, Weed, etc, they're all bad for your health. Oh, and I'm not talking about the bullshit propoganda campaigns that label it so, I'm talking about the literally dozens of articles I have ready on hand that show the negative effects of these drugs conducted by universities around the world. Australia, New Zealand, England, United States of America, Canada, etc have all shown detailed reports that even something as simple as Weed can be very harmful for your health.

Plus the fact that so many of my friends are users and come back totally screwed up each weekend. I even have one who regrets ever taking Weed, as it has screwed up his life from the addiction craves and now is failing all the tasks giving to him. He's recovering though, and I'm helping him get past it. Starting to get better.

I'm practically as drug-free as humanly possible. I don't even drink coffee, tea, soda, alcohol, or eat chocolate. And obviously I don't smoke.

I value my life, and am seriously confused why others do not value theirs. They must have something wrong in the mind, and I'd suggest getting it checked out.

No. Heroin is crazy addictive and one of the hardest drugs to be on. It's just...bad. If nearly any other drug was legalised I'd try, but I draw the line at shit like Heroin, crack and meth.
Not as addictive as smoking cigarettes. Since cigarettes are the hardest things to quit from once your addicted and i have sucessfully quit smoking cold turkey , i'm not afraid of addictions anymore so i'd try it.
While cigarettes are harder to quit, they don't fuck you up as bad. Heroin is just a really hard drug, it's partially the fact that it's hard to quit, and partially because it was made as a substitute to morphine. It's just really bad news, for example, if you take a similar amount of heroin at a different time then you're used to (morning instead of late evening) you can OD because your body isn't used to the effects of it at that time. In fact with heroin, you're body actually prepares itself for the heroin at that time. So...yeah. Thats really all I can say. Heroin is one of the worst drugs to do, and it's bad news.
