Poll: Would you try heroin if it were legal?

Heroine's pretty bad, but a lot of people have bad first or second experiences with it and hence don't get addicted. However, regarding its legalisation, it might not be such a bad thing. In Russia, most heroine addicts have spent so much money on heroine that they've had to turn to making krokodil instead, and that's a much, MUCH worse habit, so if addicts could get it through healthcare that would at least help ease the problem...
Personally, even if it was legal I wouldn't try it.

Nope, while I do hold a very lax stance on drug use I would never ever touch Heroine. It's one of the few drugs that can kill you in just one hit. No thanks just LSD and Mary Jane for me.

Yes, but something THAT screwed up would only be after I'm retired, because there's no point in risking my life/future this early in the game.

I want to try every type of experience at least once in my life, and there's no logical reason not to, so long as the environment is safe or the consequences inconsequential (like when you're on your deathbed, etc).

Hell, no. Predictably, the "yes's" seem to all be coming from people who say they've tried it and it's great if you're "cool" enough to be able to control it.

"Yeah, I do hard drugs, but only on the weekend. I'm laid back about my adrenaline rush drug habits."

Meth, heroin, coke, PCP and all other hard drugs will make you age faster than a career in gangbang porn, they will make you step entirely outside your own personality and even your own sexuality. While most other drugs, when not taken by complete barbarians, will act on brain chemicals such as Dopamine to "make you love everybody," hard drugs make people feel important and superior, which is absolutely pathetic. How strong is the premise that you're better than everybody if you have to snort something that makes your dick go away just to believe it?

I'd like to see weed legalized across the board and heavily taxed OTC (ie for non medicinal use). But I won't lose sleep if the hard shit isn't legalized.

Anyway, on topic - No. One of my uncles was a heroin addict, and my aunt is (last time we saw her). Not good.

I'm all for legalising it to an extent, though. The more drugs are legalised and available, the less criminal activity surrounds it.

Well, that might be a fact, but alcohol is readily available and destructive in large quantities. I argue that, if heroin was legalized and just bought in normal grocery stores, then I would assume it would even out quite rapidly.

I think datura is possibly the most dangerous drug. Not because of the physical effects, but becaue of what you might do under the plant's influence.

I would try many different things...but datura is something I would never try.

Anything above weed is a big no no in my eyes. Personally I don't go over alcohol and I'm still not fully comfortable with my weed smoking friends but I don't pass judgement any more. If they said they where going ove that I think I would probably step in and say something.

Buy heroin, support Mexican drug cartels or the enemy in Afghanistan? Nah. It seems like a silly thing to do.

Besides, almost every single Heroin user I've met so far degraded far too fast both physically and mentally to promote the fun bits of doing heroin.
