I've answered 'yes' since I feel WW2 resulted in a unique form of warfare which untill that time had never been so brutal, up and close as well as technically and tactically innovate, and never will be again. Discussion here seems to focus on FPS only, but this is only a very small part of the gaming spectrum (I do agree that there are too many ww2 FPS around, and most of them are not that great).
There are other gametypes though that work very well for ww2, like RTS (Company of Heroes), simulators (Il-2 Sturmovik, Silent Hunter series), MMOFPS-Simulator (Battleground Europe, BF 1942), tactical games(Panzer General, Combat Mission and Close Combat series), grand strategy games (Heart of Iron series). Things like immersion (no need to write fiction to come up with a gameconcept), technical development throughout the war (which gamer does not love upgrading units), the first true display of combined arms, the fact that for many people ww2 happened to their country, the tactical innovations throughout the war and the sheer drama of a world in flames, are more than enough reasons to continu making ww2 games.
Modern asymetrical warfare is (thankfully) much more clinical and clean. Which is great, but makes for boring games IMHO. So please do give me more ww2 games, but make them good games. I don't care for ww2 shooters, but there is a whole range of gamegenres that could do with some ww2-loving.

PS come to think of it, Battle of Britain (C1), Combat Mission 2 Normandy and Hearts of Iron 3 will all be released in 2009... enough to fill my gaming year.
* edit: ffs, I've posted No when I should have voted Yes! Aaargh!
