So Zero Punctuation has been going on for over three years now I think. I enjoy and watch his videos but I want to know what you guys still think of him. Has he gotten funnier over time? Are his jokes slowly becoming lame? Are you sick of hearing about him in forums? (sucks to be you :p) Maybe you just found him and think he's a review god. Maybe you've grown tired of him and have stopped watching him altogether. Maybe you don't care for the vids but you like his blogs. Do you agree or disagree with most of what he says, if so why? I would really like to know.

I swear if I see anyone labeling anybody a "Yahtzee lover" or a "Yahtzee hater" I will find and stick this lead pipe down one of your holes.

EDIT: huh, something got messed up in the poll a bit.

Option one was "Hell yea, he is gaming Jesus and I am his disciple."

Option three was "Meh, I'm getting tired of his British humor."

Most of the older videos are still hilarious, but I think he went through a rough patch where he wasn't that funny. He's mostly back on form though.

Same here, and I still love his blackadder-like analogies of stuff. Me and him also have very similar tastes, so that could also be the reason why I still like and agree with his ZP's and EP's.

I may or may not agree with his reviews but that doesn't make them any less amusing. That's the best part about gaming as a community and culture we literally have something for everyone. So while I wouldn't quite go so far as to call him a "Gaming Jesus" I would call him an excellent critic and a funny reviewer who's work I enjoy. Then again I also like british humor so maybe that's just me.

I will say the whole "America sucks" schtick has been getting run a little ragged the past month and a bit. It almost seems like he's really trying to shoehorn it in there even where it doesn't really fit. (The start of the minecraft review springs to mind). I'm all for poking at America, I do it myself, especially having been in the military you get perspective on some of the seriously retarded stuff America does as a nation and humor relating to it can be damn funny. It just feels like the last couple have fallen flat.

Any one from outside the US care to comment on that actually? Are the US jokes real knee slappers and I'm not getting it because I'm an American?

To an extent, yeah. Was better when Bush was in charge, though...or at least easier, alot of "jokes" were people reminding each other that President Bush isn't particularly competent.

I think the novelty has long worn off with Yahtzee, although his stuff is till quite watchable, it doesn't seem as funyn as it used to be.

I watch most ZP for his views on gaming in general rather than humor most of the time and the chuckles are only a byproduct. Needless to say, I look forward to Extra Punctuation more.

The day I stopped seeing him as an actual critic was the day I got back to being entertained by his musings.

Great for entertainment purposes, a real laugh. Not so much for a review, but hey, it doesn't need to be.

I am off and on entertained by him still but honestly sometimes the source material aka the game is not the best so can't blame him sometime

I've re-watched the Minecraft review multiple times (partly because his semi-tutorial was actually really helpful), and enjoyed it immensely. I think he's gold, even after 3 years.

I also very much enjoy Extra Punctuation, where sometimes, I actually learn something.

Call me fanboy if you want, but I don't care.

I still firmly believe that his videos are the best part of the site- you just have to remember not to think of him as a reviewer. Consider his videos to have the same journalistic validity as, say, Unskippable, and you'll be able to appreciate the humour a whole lot happier.

That said, I find that if he does actually give a positive review, the game will tend towards at least "Worth looking at, for one reason or another" level.

I personally prefer his newer stuff to the old videos- though I still enjoy all of them, and even re-watch them whenever I get the chance. Especially that Guitar Hero one.

I can pin Yahtzee is the one person whose humor I try most to emulate. Not the wisest course of action, on reflection, but I won't apologize for being entertained by a lot of swear words cleverly strung together.

In all honesty, I don't even come to the forums much. The only time I ever post is when A: I feel like it, or B: To read up to see what people said about his review.

Hell, I'd even want to join him at least once in one of these reviewing sessions, if not just to have a chance to play the game WITH him and see how it goes.

For every game I like, he has obliterated it; and I start understanding exactly what he says, even to the games I like.

I started watching with his MGS 4 review which had me in laughing fits. But the humor does wear thin a bit. I still watch, but I'm never really blown away with laughter.

I find the videos entertaining, and the EPs are pretty good too. They all still make me laugh and there is usually some good points made about the games or the industry in general in them as well, so I'm not going to stop watching anytime soon.
