I chose death, but only for the reason that I have the risk of losing my vocal cords (which are the only things in life I behold holy) I can endure lots of pain, so the rest wouldn't be much of a problem anyway.

But I'd say death.
Torture is so degrading, and with death you at least have the option of going out with a little dignity.
