If you can get the idea that it will destroy their lives in multiple ways you just might there are "those" (me being one) out there that choose to wait until if and when they become married. Granted the whole idea SUCKS! at times it also is easier to me in the long run because of all that bull that goes with the "ACT" of it!
Wait, what? I had to read this a few times over. Are you criticizing the fact that I do not understand abstinence schooling? I said I understand the benefits of abstinence and that it's the best possible way of protecting yourself, but face it, abstinence is hard to follow. On average, abstinence schooling fails compared to teaching safe sex.
Condoms are a safe measure to use, and the best form on contraceptive that protects you during sex.

I could understand the drama that comes from sexual relationships because of it though. It's a good point, but the subject in question wasn't so much of that so I felt no need to address it.

No, abstinence is *one* of the best forms of protection. Other forms of protection that are just as effective are oral sex and homosexuality.
No. Abstinence/Celibacy is the only 100% effective way to prevent pregnancy and STI's. There are plenty of ways that sperm can be transferred from the mouth/anus to the vagina and those sperm still have a chance to reach the egg. STI's can infect the body from any opening, be it oral, vaginal, or anal. The infection can still attack the skin and cause irritation or be contracted.
Male condoms only have a 85-98% effectiveness rate. Female condoms have a 85-95% effectiveness rate. These are ONLY pregnancy numbers, I don't personally know the data against STI's. Many Condoms don't have the same protection against STI's as they do against pregnancy. There is still tons of Skin to Skin contact. You can have one little outbreak further up the groin that it won't be covered by the condom and have a high risk of being transferred to your partner.

It is both the males and female responsibility to make sure they are protecting themselves and the other individual.

Edit: I would also like to point out that the only contraceptives that have 98-99% effectiveness are the Pill, Patch, Shot, the Ring[Nuvaring], and IUD's[Mirenda and Copper].

first I agreed with you in the idea of it being hard to follow like here "Granted the whole idea SUCKS! at times "
Secondly I am neither critizings nor attacking, but simply stating that I have found that as a parent it becomes your job to teach correct "manners" or "actions" to protect yourself then simply allow the child to decide I was getting at the other one about life without sex is impossible a.k.a.: Khell_Sennet. He seemed to not be taking into account that there are those out there that either litteraly do not feel the urdge as much and then there are also those that choose to wait nothing against you but mostly at him I only quoted you because you made a good point I agreed with.

The chances of pregnancy from oral sex are low enough that it can be called 'one of the best'. Best of the best? Sure--that's Abstinence/Celibacy. However, calling abstinence a form of protection is like calling the decision not to get in a car a form of defensive driving.

I was only speaking of pregnancy. Sorry for the miscommunication.
that depends on who you are....if you truly think that it is then you will never get behind the wheel and thus never get into an accident, same applies to this. Also I had a teamate that hated em and didn't use em her neither I guess because they had a kid before either graduated Freshman year Highschool...and were married! He refused to look at em while I on the other hand just laughed when a chick opened one up and put it on her finger and rubbed my hair (on my head). It depends on who you are!

I'd say maybe both but so far this problem hasn't happened to me, doubt it ever will either.

It's not a form of protection, it's an alternative to vaginal sex. I wouldn't honestly use this as a excuse to not get pregnant. If both participants don't which to use any contraceptive; then I would suggest anal or oral sex as a alternative for intimacy and still warn them of the possibly chances for pregnancy. They would have to be taught proper cleaning methods to reduce the chance of pregnancy as low as possible.

Well hell, people who are severally scared of germs won't even leave their houses as a way to protect themselves against them. Could be considered the same as abstinence and not getting in a car. It's ridiculous, but it DOES work.

Oh. I see. I'm sorry. Not harassing you or anything, but the punctuation and sentence structure was extremely misleading. (not that I'm saying that you better damn well agree with me or anything, but I was just trying to make sure where you were getting at)

What? Seriously? Well, the mouth, anyway.

"If the semen is near the woman and no fertile fluid is present, they will die within a few hours outside the body. If semen is spilled on the external genitals (not in the vagina) they can swim to enter the vagina. Thus they travel from outside the body to inside."
In the heat of the moment, a female who has just preformed oral sex may kiss her partner and he/she may reciprocate the action. The kiss may transfer sperm from mouth to mouth to the vaginal area.
Sometimes lubrication is wanted and some people like to use spit. It's a small chance, but there is a still a possibility that sperm will be transferred from a mouth, to a finger, to the vaginal area.

Yeah, extremely unlikely, but I understand where you're coming from. I thought you meant through swallowing. I took a step back there for a moment and wanted to shout bullshit.

Both, expecting one to do it is just selfish. Also, the man could have the condom, and the girl could be on the pill. Double dutch FTW.

I think it's the woman's.... because I think the majority of guys would prefer not to use em.

But if the guy wants to avoid possible disease or breeding.... it's his own damn fault for not bringing em.

Yeah, I'm going to say it's the mans responsibility, I wouldn't expect the woman to have one.

Anyone heard of the injection for men that acts as a contraceptive? Think I might get it to be honest.
Where, exactly, will the needle be stuck?
Lol, it goes into the top of the arm, near the shoulder.

It doesnt go anywhere...sensitive.
