*looks at votes for Tali, adds another 49 names to the list of "people who don't bother actually trying to understand a character they dislike"*

Anyways, my vote was for Jack. And it's not because of her being a cold-hearted *****, as her loyalty mission shows that is a defense mechanism. Plus, her files in Lair of the Shadow Broker show a much deeper side to her.

That said, she is still, at the end of the day, a criminal who you find locked up in a prison. IF someone has to die, let it be the criminal who hurled a space station into a moon.

I really didn't like Miranda.. at all. I think Jack was pretty cool though.

Miranda. She was both not very interesting and her face was dead. Her face never moved the entire fucking game. It looked like a pez-dispenser that could talk or Joan Rivers with more botox. Way too creepy to live.

Jack was the only one who died on my first ME2 run which was my original ME1 save, and I was happy about this.

Jack, she is WAY too evil for her own and our ships own good, so I would stab her with my Omni blde before she blows up the galaxy.

Jack/Miranda, but I only want Jack gone. A pissy teen, emo, world (galaxy) hating attitude has no place on a mission this important.

I actually love how almost no one chose Garrus. He truly is the best squad member. I love him. :) I chose Jack/Miranda. They're just ew.

Damn this is a hard choice...I had to choose between Jacob or Jack....I hate both of them with a passion. Jack with her constant "I'm a victim, no one likes me, but thats alright because fuck them all I cut myself at night" attitude and Jacob with his "Wanna be friends? 8D" attitude....I chose Jacob because atleast Jack makes me hate her because of who she is as oppose to me hating Jacob who doesn't really build up a character background to hate.

Definitely Jack, I didn't want her crazy ass to begin with. She's a nonsense character imo.
I second this. She was pointless, and I hated her.
I second your seconding (third it), Damn! how I hated her. She was so friggin' obnoxious and stuck up. I just wanted to kill her the second I got done with her recruitment mission, because that's when she starts acting like a *****.

Edit: And who really wants a mentally unstable psychic criminal, really? (Who just bitches all the time)
And what if your Shepherd was an adept? You wouldn't need her at all then.

Any given human. It really doesn't matter which. To be honest though, I liked Jacob and Jack a bit more so they're safe but other than Shepard, I would love it if Miranda, Ashley (god how I hate her), Kaidan...I'm not playing a Sci-Fi, Fantasy epic to interact with the damned humans. I want to take out Cerberus and 80% of humanity...as Blasto

On the poll though, I pick Miranda.

Who on earth would kill Tali? I mean, what?

My answer would have to be Grunt. Having no character was PART OF HIS CHARACTER. Just awful.

Jacob. His voice actor was dull and his character was dull. I liked all the other characters, although, Thane would be the next one because his voice gets horrible to listen to for a period of time.

Yes, because everyone has to have the same preference in people as you do. If they don't, then they just don't understand what their talking about.

My brain. It hurts.
I'm not saying that. It's more of the people who are just dismissing Tali as a racist for her dislike of the geth, without seeming to have considered that she is only 24, and the geth uprising was 300 years ago. She wasn't around for that. All she has to go by is her current living condition, and what the other quarians, including her father, tell her.

To me, it's like hating someone for being racist when their ancestors of 300 years ago die, and you are raised being told to hate those people. Besides, how often do the geth and quarians sit down over a cup of tea to explain the misunderstandings? If they have other issues with her, ones a bit more subjective, I can accept that. Maybe not really understand, but accept it. It's the ones who glance at Tali, sees "hates geth", and think that is her entire character that I have issues with.

*kicks away soapbox*

Tali. I find her about as interesting as a wart on Wrex's ass. She was completely useless in the first game, and was only slightly more badass in the second. I don't need socially awkward bullshit. I was certain I left that behind when I finish school.
I agree with this one, besides she never even showed her face. I wish she wasn't in Mass Effect 3, hopefully I can kill her off early on.
I'm pretty sure she won't be in ME3 if you have her die at the end of ME2.
In that event I have to find a way so only she dies, I liked all the other characters. This could be hard.

I found Grunt to be obnoxious - never really found much humour despite the clear attempts toward it in the writing. Most of the attempts to make him a compelling character just made me more contemptuous of the writing and the "haha look I'm like an adult, but also like a clueless kid" gimmick just didn't do it for me at all.

Also, reminded me of an awkward caricature of Wrex, who I found much, much more compelling.

Jack got more reasonable over time and her intro, chasing her through the blasted bulkheads, was easily one of my favourite parts of the game (even if it was some particularly painful cutscene-gameplay strength asymmetry). Jacob was so unceasingly bland that he didn't really grate, even if he didn't stand out in any way whatsoever. And Miranda was at least interesting even if she did have some serious "being popular is so horrible" mojo going on.
