I didn't add him because he wasn't part of the Twelve Olympians...

What?! The man was a traitor regardless of where he went. He changed sides so often during the Peloponnesian Wars I keep forgetting which side he ended up with (though to be fair, the initial charge against him was difficult to prove, but still).mrdude2010 said:Alcibiades was a god among men. his antics are just so hilarious, he had to leave sparta because he impregnated the spartan king's wife, then lost the peloponnesian war for athens by leaving control of essentially their entire navy in the hands of his drinking buddy (to be fair, it's his buddy's fault for not listening to alcibiades when he told him not to engage with anyone, but that's a different story).SckizoBoy said:What?! Wait, we are talking about the same Alcibiades aren't we? Was selected as the commander of the Sicilian Expedition... which went completely to pot.

Also, if my (somewhat limited) knowledge of the pantheon is correct, the one with the fewest atrocities to her name.
Ha! Fair do-s, though thanks for the first paragraph, didn't know that. So, he's your vote for the Olympians' comic relief then, eh?! (Especially with the shit that they got up to...)mrdude2010 said:his antics are just so hilarious, he had to leave sparta because he impregnated the spartan king's wife, then lost the peloponnesian war for athens by leaving control of essentially their entire navy in the hands of his drinking buddy (to be fair, it's his buddy's fault for not listening to alcibiades when he told him not to engage with anyone, but that's a different story).
i just feel bad for nicias out of the whole deal, he really had bad luck with all of that
mostly just reading/hearing about alcibiades is hilarious, it's not out of any admiration (although aside from the sicilian expedition he was a pretty solid military commander- whichever side he was on was usually winning until he betrayed them), it's more out of amusement for his absurd antics
Hmmm, I thought (though not being a Classics student) that Tartarus was the place and Erebus was the personification of the concept of 'darkness and shadow/twilight'. *shrug*Azure-Supernova said:Depending on where you read you'll note that they're two seperate deities and both come together to personify different levels of Hades.
(Hesiod don't fail me now >.<)
