Out of the selection, I'd say the Lantern Sheild on the last link of the first post. Pretty fucking weird, but kick ass none-the-less!

But my personal favourite is the Warbrand. Its a sword with a very long hilt. And its name is excellent. WARBRAND!!! FUCK YEAH!!!

The Katar is cool and would be good for close range fighting, but once the guy is impaled on your Warbrand, its fine.

I also like the Rapier for its style. But I would like one with a slightly thicker blade for hacking, but not enough to lose its thrusting ability. I like to hack. I think the Schianova is this, or the Mortuary Hilt. Holy balls, does they look sexy and deadly.

And a Daggertail for sheer badass-ery.

Of course, the Lowland Slaughter-Sword looks like it should be weilded by GIANTS.

Lowland Slaughter-Sword: Ah balls, I couldn't find it! There's a post here somewhere with one, though. Have a lurk for it. Yes, lurk.

The Atlatl looks cool, if somewhat ineffective.
Hehe, yea it's like prehistoric mammoth-hunting gear.
If it was effective against a mammoth, I don't want to know what it could do to a human being..Although it probably took a few dozen to take down our friend Múmak..

The daggertail looks like it would be really hard to wield without tearing off the backs of your own legs.

Me? I'm a long range kinda guy. I'd go for the ballista- it's sort of the 'artillery' version of the crossbow.

You get the idea.

Indeed. I think it took a few dozen for the mammoth, too. I think the idea was high impact at long distance, so you wouldn't have to get in close and personal.

Just keep smelting down those worthless pieces of armor and your little swords and we shall see about running out of ammo.

Aside from that, a lot of the other more bad ass weapons have been mentioned.

The Scots lowlanders? Cause that would be badass, combined with the highlander long claymores.
ehh........
You do realize that sword is almost six and a half feet long, right?
And it was designed to stop a charging horse by skewering the horse and the rider?

It makes the claymore look like a pansy butter knife.

just to be sure, the mace version, not the flail

I like the Franciscan throwing axe. I mean, it basically defeated the roman legion. How badass was that?

Speaking of, the roman Principe's equipment and fighting style were all awesome. Throw Pilum javelins to disable enemy attacks, advance to close range with scutum shields, hack to bits with gladius swords.
Jesus, science, and crazy nutters defeated the roman legions.
Well, the empire was still alright while they were Catholic... (I'm definitely not talking about the "Holy Roman Empire" I mean the real deal while they were christian). But I agree Science and Crazy Nutters played a great role in the downfall.
About the time the barbarians were at the gate, the blame game started. Some people did blame Christianity for as they say "destroying the spirit of Rome." Personally I'd take Mars over the Christian god as my patron deity for war.
Actually, the catholic roman empire was the downfall of rome. They tore down the beautiful temples and buildings that had anything to do with the pagan rome.

Read 'Barbarians' by terry jones (Yes the guy from monty python)

So, catholic rome can go F*ck itself...

Spiked Chain for sure!

2d4 damage, can trip, its a reach weapon that you can use against foes next to you and its a finesse weapon!

Can't go wrong.
