Fahrenheit, I thought it was fucking fantastic. And it was, that game had them very well implemented.
This, I think. If I'd encountered QTEs before then I can't remember them.
Only problem is, I spent so much time concentrating on the buttons I didn't pay any attention to the cutscenes themselves.

Resident Evil 4, I think. I thought it was a good concept at first. Then years later I got Mercenaries 2 and realized that QTEs are not good when they're not done well.

Would the Legend of Dragoon battle system be considered a QTE? As you had to press X in a similar fashion to the normal QTE's of present day.
Yeah, same here.

If it counts. I actually really liked it.

Those little action command things certainly made combat more interesting than the 'constantly spam attack' deal. I could never get the spearman's timing down, though.

On topic, my first quicktime event was... I think in Dark Cloud for the PS2. It caught me off guard, and thus I failed.

RE4 for Game Cube. I thought it was a good way of doing things but I did fail first time because I had no idea what the hell was going down. I got used to it after that because it was a core part of the gameplay and worked well.

The first set of QTE's I remember is in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. I thought they were okay in that. There was probably a game I played before that that had them in, but they don't bother me unless they're in cutscenes...
