Y'know, that site known as "The Escapist". That site where people are lining up to declare Mass Effect 2 to be their game of the year.

Is that the kind of site you mean?

And I'm saying, where will this "game of the year" be in 5 years time? 2 years time?

Hell... 1 year.

A "game of the year" should be something that is truly a testament of gaming, not a flavour of the month that will wither and die.

I know what you're saying. You're saying Mass Effect 2 is a testament of gaming that will stand the test of time. And I couldn't agree more. You are wise.

ugggh....tough choice. Red Dead, ME2, Fallout, Halo, SC2, Bad Co 2 (that did come out this year, right?) and Fable 3 isn't out yet...too hard to choose, dammit. Okay, it isn't, Mass Effect 2, GOTY, babeh.

halo Reach by far is my GOTY. I just couldn't stand playing ODST and Halo3 they just became extremely dull and unimpressive after awhile.

Really tough choice for me - this year has been exceptional as far as quality games go.

Probably a cut between the enthralling, incredible journey that was Red Dead Redemption and the recently released Vanquish.

I think I should add something to my previous post.

While I believe Halo: Reach is better than Mass Effect 2, I am pleased to see so much love for it. If you create a topic on Mass Effect 2 or Bioware's games in general, it's often overrun by people who hate Mass Effect 2 in comparison to Bioware's other games. It is good to see the quiet majority speaking up for a change.

i know a lot of ppl are complaining cuz i didnt put rdr, ssf4, etc. etc. on, i jsut threw this list together and i knew i was missing some games so thats why i put the other option on.

Anyways, Red Dead Redemption has been my choice for about six months now, but I have yet to play Enslaved and Mass Effect 2 comes out in the far off month of January 2011 (on PS3).
