Well, so far my top five are:
Halo: Reach
Red Dead Redemption
Aliens VS Predator
Bad Company 2
Limbo

I haven't played much this year.
Black Ops will probably end up in the top 3 when it comes out, and maybe New Vegas will get a spot up there too.

Playing New Vegas atm and it is gradually sucking me in. Except I'm now stuck looking for a door and I'm not sure if it is a glitch or just me being lost in the REPCONN rocket facility.

I'm going with non, since it isn't the end of the year and to soon to say! So many good games yet to come, give them a chance to get slaughtered by Mass Effect 2 as it would seem from the votes!

mass effect 2, not because ive played the first game (since i havent), but rather since its the only one ive played of those, thus the only one i can honestly comment on.

in speculation though, civ5 is probably better.

I haven't bought too many games released this year, but of the ones I did get, my favourite was definately Red Dead Redemption, closely followed by Mass Effect 2. However, the year is not over yet, and I have yet to buy Dead Rising 2 or Fallout:New Vegas.

Mass Effect 2, I love the game, the DLC missions have been really good, the weapons have been ok I guess, but the game overall has been superb

Mass Effect 2 still has it for me, no other game this year has come close for me.

Although I did enjoy Metro 2033, that game was great.

My choice would be the spectacular Final Fantasy XIII.

Like Most people i am hanging out waiting for Ass Creed Bros I would be surprised if that isnt my fav for the year considering that I 100% the games trophies for Ass Creed 2 in under a week!!! I was that addicted!!! ITS JUST THAT GOOD!!!
But at the moment seeing as AC:B is not out yet I gotta say My Little Pony Adventures of Rainbow Land, lol
For Real, probably Red Dead Redemption, the story kept me interested, plus John Marston was an awesome character.

I am yet to play Enslaved, and that looks really good too.

I am one of the few people who didnt really get into Fallout 3, the shooting system was so terrible, (at least on console it was, not sure about PC though) VATS was cool, but as soon as you were out of AP then it was really lame. And because of this I don't think New Vegas will be any different for me. I might keep playing again soon once I have finished playing my current game I am playing which is Red Faction: Guerilla, cant wait for Red Faction: Armageddon, it looks so awesome, that and Portal 2.

It's a toss up between Strange Journey and P3P the only new games I've bought so far,I think I'll go with Strange Journey because P3 has received enough love the last few years.

Fallout NV. It seems a lot better than any FO game I ever played. ME2 is close, but I just don't like the excessively simplified way of it. Also, FO allows you to use a console to load and save literally in a second. I never lost more than 5 mins of game because of crashes (and did so just once, I think), which weren't even that frequent.

ME2, however, is a strict ***** that doesn't allow you to save as fast and not even closely as often. It is impossible to try and see all possibilities play out without repeating annoying routes. And the load times... ridiculous... It tends to get stuck on using the elevator of Normandy. FO: NV trumps ME the way the game flows by miles.

Probably people will want to bury me in hate now, but my game of the year is All Points Bulletin.
It came the closest I have ever seen to a perfect game for me, especially the customisation bit. Guns, cars and creativity - what more can one want?
It's such a shame it was destroyed by bad management not listening to many good ideas by some of the development team and playerbase, haters and griefers.

Don't look at me like that.

Heavy Rain was a masterpiece. It's incomparable to other games. I couldn't decide whether I preferred Uncharted 2 or Heavy Rain.
