Get their ass kicked by an educated, politically aware and involved collective populace.

Politics Goes Here [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/index/528]
As for the answer, I don't really follow Politics. So far they've done nothing for me in Australia.

Show me a situation where this has actually worked and an anarchy has survived? No situation comes to mind. There will always be need for some form of government, but generally a limited government works better than an overpowered government. The problem with an overpowered government is that it tends to overstep its ground and does more harm than good. I've never seen a good situation that involved the word "bailout" and while I'm at it the word "union" generally doesn't mean anything good for those not within.

"I'm not European, nor do I plan on being European, so why do I give a crap if they're socialist? They could be facist anarchists for all I care; it still doesn't change the fact that I don't have a car"

Well capitalism is really an economic doctrine, but seeing as you didn't put Libertarianism it's the closest one I could pick.

Socialism or heavily regulated capitalism.
Want heavily regulated capitalism? Come see the United States in its current condition and tell me if its still a good idea?

Personally, I jump between being in favour of Plato's idea of an ideal state with a Philosopher King, and Christian Anarcho-pacifism.

Liberalism. The closest on your list is capitalism, but I'm not comfortable enough with it to vote for it. Basically the idea is that the state should prevent any cases of a person harming another, but should leave individual decisions to individuals. It's that definition of "harming" that keeps pissing me off, bastard thing.

Social Democracy. People need basics like health care, police and fire services, and a basic (very basic) safety-net for when they're down on their luck. If you don't give people anything, the workers revolt and you're stuck with...

Communism. It has failed miserably. I'm sorry, I had the Che Guevara poster when I was younger too, but the only countries that have tried it had to kill-off about 20-40 million people first (Stalin and Mao). Then when they do get a worker's paradise, they just end up turning to Capitalism to actually get stuff done. "Communist" China has millionaires, FFS! It's not a good idea because it ignores one basic human need: motivation.

National socialism. Without the genocide, it's pretty much the perfect world government.

Well seeing as that's the distinct lack of a political ideology, I don't see how that would fit into this poll.

On topic though: I'm a supporter of the Bull Moose party, so basically liberal republicanism.

I personally support dictatorship by someone who is neither stupid nor insane (It's to bad Lord Vetinari isn't real) or government by means of gigantic fighting robots (see either Robot Jox or G Gundam).

It is my belief that dictatorship is the most efficient and streamlined form of government and that giant fighting robots would be an entirely feasible method of government if we could just get our act together and build some.

Libertarianism

But it is highly unpractical. With global corporations, you need equally powerful governments to protect the interest of their people.

Because the government looks out for their citizens. *scoff*
