Two and a Half Men manages to achieve soemthing quite amazing in that while it makes me laugh regularly (about once every 10 minutes) I feel guilty every time for finding such "humor" funny. I consider it nothing more than the absolubte lowest of rubbish and have regularly left the room and twice the house to avoid watching it.

Funny story. Two and a Half Men used to be my favorite TV show, but it has simply aired too long.

On cracked.com, there is an article about the life of a TV show, stating every season after 5 gets increasing worse, and after 7 effectively canceling out a good season. Through the entire read, I couldn't help but think of Two and a Half Men.

So to sum it up, I loved it, but it's more annoying than anything else now.

This is the article I was referring to: http://www.cracked.com/article_18696_the-lifespan-every-tv-show-ever-5Bcomic5D.html

It isn't superduper funny.
But some episodes are lol.

I can think of a worse show like say, FAMILY GUY.
How is it worse? Because it's pointless joke after joke?
Family Guy (with the exception of the last 2 or 3 seasons) is the best comedy cartoon. Ever.
FG doesn't pretend to be something meaningful with a moral at the end, like many sitcoms do. It's just pure, mindless retardation; and I'm loving it.
And that is why I hate it.
It tries to hard to just be retarded that it's so unlikeable.
Peter Griffin is completely unlikeable.

There is NOTHING likeable with that show.
You are entitled to your own opinion.
There is NOTHING likable about that show to YOU, and that's the point. What you are saying is completely subjective, so I see no point in discussing this any further with you.

I say orange, you say apple.

I agree with the OP, I think it's garbage. I don't think it has ever once made me laugh. And the difference between Two and Half Men and Family Guy is really very simple: Family Guy is actually funny.

Seen it a few times.

Never laughed during an episode.

I found it annoying but then again, it's a sitcom. How many sitcoms are actually good?

[sup][sup][sup]Psst...the answer is "none"[/sup][/sup][/sup]

Well would you laugh at a sitcom which isn't a sitcom but rather a steampunk fused fantasy with loads of humor and his mount who talks and would be a geneticlly engineered albatross who knows kung fu?
Oh! Lets not forget and the main boss is his best friend who is with him the whole time and he doesn't know! That his friend is plotting to murder him, ride the albatross down to the vault of gold and dump his body in there as a distraction while he summons a horde of pterodactyl's to rip the guards to shreds while the evil mastermind gets the gold and rus away.
Now that's just his plan....

I think that show is just terrible in every way. The jokes are stale, the actors are terrible (f*ck you Charlie Sheen of the 2000's), and the situations and setting are just lame. I feel like I'm watching Jay Leno try to make jokes when I watch it. Or at least the sitcom version of a Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer movie (yunno the makers of Date Movie etc.)

I used to like it, it was better when Jake was young and oblivious. Now that he is older it is just annoying. Plus Jake is a bit of an arse hole now.

I've watched a few episodes; it's okay, but I have a natural hatred of shows that over-use their laugh track.

- spoken line
*laugh track*

- glance
*laugh track*

- funny retort

- kid says something naive

- Jon Cryer walks away annoyed

Its just filler to take people away from their empty lives.

I stick to quality shows like Dexter, The Office, Futurama, Mythbusters etc...
Basically anything WITHOUT Charlie Sheen,
Pathetic old man, shame.

I usually watch it when theres nothing better coming from the TV. Its not really funny but its pretty entertaining.

I dislike the show, because I can't stand laugh tracks. It cheapens shows, breaks up dialogue due to the pausing for laughter, and allows writers to slip by with shitty jokes, and actors to slip by with bad deliveries of jokes because the laugh track is there to let us know it's still funny.

Here, see how retarded Two and a Half Men would be without a laugh track?

P.S.
I will excuse Black Books laugh track because I laughed more than it did at the show.

I love the earlier seasons when Jake was a kid and Alan was just a slightly neurotic father. Now they made Jake a sleazeball and Alan a pathetic moron I want to smack back into his decency. And what the fuck is up with the overflow of masturbation jokes recently? One or two can make a joke funny, but more than that is just... bad.

Also, not enough Rose recently. *shakes fist*

Well it was good but now they are just running out of ideas. I mean Charlie has nearly been married twice and gotten out of it. Alan has been married twice and still has nothing and Jake is still Jake.

Glademaster has summed it up. I liked it, but without the laughtrack, it isn't funny. And Seasons 5-6-7 have been horrible. Im just waiting for it to end, which it wont.

I kinda like the show, I was able to watch through like 5-6 seasons or something in a week or so. Probably because I like Charlie Sheen. Mainly because I liked the Hot shots movies.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1YyWDtAU-4 1:11 -> Upper right corner with white scarf. Not Charlie Sheen but he's still awesome.
