eh? there's only one Comedian, and he's not particularly funny.

i liked the movie ending better too, but i have it argued that since dr. manhattan was working for the U.S. to begin with, the soviets would likely blame the u.s. for the attack instead of coming together in a era of world peace.

something to think about, at least.

It doesn't sound like you've actually seen the movie.

Bob Dylan, Nat King Cole, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix... whole bunch of metal there.

Edit: I liked the movie more simply for the ending. The squid was bogus.

I was referring to the prison fight-scene. I just didn't see the need to make it all..Dark and badass.

I still don't get why everyone loves Rorschach so much, the guys far right-wing, fascist, homophobic and nationalist. But I thought the movie was quite good, especially as it sticks to the graphic novel well and you can see why they had to change the ending to avoid confusing people who hadn't read the comic.

Read the comics, enjoyed them. Saw the movie, and although I thought the breast to penis ratio was terribly off it was a decent film and I wasn't at all disappointed when I left the cinema.

Is this movie or book?

The book is a master piece, one of the greatest comics ever written.

The movie was dulled down and gored up. You really could feel hollywoods grubby little hands all over it.

This is just about the worst assessment I have ever heard.

The comedy in the Harry Potter books is one of it's strong points. And the watchmen movie never made me laugh, except with the unintentially hilarious porn scene.

I admit I saw the movie first and had entered the cinema with no idea what to expect to I got to say the movie I saw was a masterpiece. Then I read the comic and I think I like them both equally.
Same here.

Love the movie and just recently finished the book and I can't wait until that Ultimate Edition of the movie coming out in November.

I love the comic. The characters seem so much more interesting and diverse compared to other comics, but I never got around to seeing the film.

I'd agree if the movie was filled with fight scenes.

I only saw the movie, and I thought it was awful.
I'm not a person that needs a whole bunch of ass kicking and gore and fighting to be entertained, but besides random fighting scenes, it was pretty boring. And the ending was just silly. I hear a lot of people going on about the characters, but really, they don't seem very extraordinary to me. I liked how it was more realistic, giving the heroes a bit more depth than they usually get, but still.

Dr. Manhattan reminds me a lot of Paul Atreides from Dune.

Well the characters are suppose to show what happens to a normal person that becomes a superhero and what does that do to you as a real person with real problems.

Guess I just didn't like Snyder's take on it..Had to be sensationalized somewhat in order to sell, I understand that.
Anyway, I'm glad most other people seem to have enjoyed it.
