I always see you with the same answer to these types of threads...so to answer back to this in a different way, ill say...The thread has been done TOO many times!...but remember people...its not the same thread...its a thread with its name and description re-arranged...*evil giggle*...
Really? What do I say? And I'll often post the same thing in repeat threads but after a while it gets really annoying.

Oh I actually do remember talking to you specifically about a similar issue... that's strange... but seriously, after I've been here for around a year and a half I've seen these threads been done time and time again... I'm just looking for some new discussion, you know? I'm tired of "post and leave" threads and repeat threads and this is both. Someone just says the name of a game and then it's over except for the people who quote things saying "OMG YOU DIDN'T LIKE THAT GAME?!?!?" which is inevitable because threads like these are nothing but flame bait.

Maybe because you only played the first 30 minutes? One of the main reasons why it's my favorite game of all time is because it's so varied. If you continued to play, you would have seen every single video game cliche known to man. You go through a forest, through a swamp, through a lake, through a castle, on an island, through ancient ruins, in caves, through a hospital, through an industrial environment... gah, I'm just proving my own point.

The Fable games are garbage. I honestly don't understand how anyone likes them either. Personally I consider them RPGs for those who have never played an RPG before.

no ammount of gameplay was going to fix crappy controls, terrible depth perception, and lack of intrest on my part.

1) The Halo series.

I only like realistic shooters, not "arena-style" shooters like Quake and Halo. I couldn't stand the multiplayer because it was very noob-unfriendly as I unloaded an assault rifle into enemy players, only to have them close the distance by bunny hopping and one-hit melee kill me. Stupid.

2) Basically any Final Fantasy after VII has failed to keep my interest. I gave up on the series.

3) Guitar Hero/Rock Band. People played this at parties and I was so bored, it's just following flashing lights. I would much rather listen to the music without the non-stop clicking from the bass controller

Love the trololololololol thats moving round this thread. Anyhoo, I don't really understand the appeal of fallout. But it does strike me that a lot of people really loved that game.

It's gotta be Halo for me. not just Halo, but 2, 3 and all the spin offs. I just can't see what is so popular about it, but then again, 13 year olds are attracted by bright colours, hence the most retarded armor in the history of the military was born.
And here we have the logic behind gray and brown games.

For me, BioShock. It just was bad. Like, -9001/10 bad.
not now, don't just stereotype me because I find Halo to be nauseating. I'm not much of a fan of the CoD series, or many other similar games. I just really prefer games that push the envelope, at least just a little bit. I won't deny that the first Halo brought some excellent idea to the shooter table, albiet wrapped in a big ball of run of the mill weapons and mediocre gunplay, but I'd rather play something that isn't afraid to take some forward strides, and Halo has been side stepping since the series started. I enjoyed Mirrors Edge, despite it's wonky arse controls and wierd difficulty curve, but Halo just doesn't stimulate anything within my mind.
I was commenting on the comment on the colors. It's the same one Yahtzee had, and I still think him making that comment caused at least some of the G&B games.
Hey, I don't mind colour. I'm more pointing out the fact that everything, and I mean EVERYTHING in the halo universe seems to be a part of the rainbow for no real reason other than the developers finally found the 'metallic' tool in their SDK. It all just seems I've got no problem with a game being colourful, but it's more than just the colour palatte that bugs me with Halo.

May I ask what version you were playing?
ps2.

to sum up my complaints with the game: poor depth perception (i cant tell how close the zombies are), low ammunition (i applaud the idea, but i dont enjoy it), i cant move while i shoot, and first person aiming was a pain.

i honestly dont see why people like it so much.

Well I didn't have a problem with the controls... the stopping to shoot kept pressure on you and made it a more intense experience. And I didn't have a problem with seeing how far away the zombies were... at all. The laser sight showed you exactly where they were. The other problems are just problems with survival horror games in the first place. It's supposed to make you save ammo, stop when you shoot, and have aiming be a pain... it might be a bit frustrating but it's like in a horror movie where the character fumbles to get the car keys in the door and then in the ignition... it makes you tense. But if you don't like that kind of style, I can't say anything to make you like it. The problems that you have are features.

I actually have a problem with the Halo series, mass effect 1/2, "great game, but not as great as touted" oblivion, "vanilla game was pure crap, need mods to make it awesome"

Reverse OT:
What about games which your staggered that more people haven't played or enjoyed because of their sheer awesome?
Case and Point: THE DARKNESS!!!

Halo 3

It was all right... but it honestly feels like just a decent PC game from the late 90's to early 2000's. The game just didn't develop enough since the series' 2001 debut in terms of gameplay, pacing and storytelling.

It has to be Halo, Fable and too human. Borderlands gets a special mention, but the armory of General Knox redeemed it slightly for me.

Halo, not Halo, or Halo 2. The next-gen ones. They're just so...blech. I don't own it, but I've played it quite a bit at my friends house. Online, everyone's a twat, and the single player mode is just a lot of battles strung loosely together by an extremely laughable plot. Why can't we have another Serious Sam. Story, yeah, but no-one cares. The whole game consists of, enemy there, you have a gun, shoot said enemy. Come on Croteam, please make Serious Sam 3 already!

I like Halo, I like it's sort of story, and matchmaking online is fun just because of the crazy stuff you'll run into, and the others who play it. The reason for which I love Halo is it's massive custom content featuring. Lets run a comparison:

Reviewing a played match:
- Halo 3: After any game you can go to theatre, observe everything that happened in the game, from First person or Third Person perspective. Once saved, the game can be watched over and over again.
- MW2: You can only see a game during the game and all though you can spectate during the game, you cannot watch a game after the game is over unless you recorded it externally.

Screen Shots:
- Halo 3: Theater mode allows you to take screen shots of any recent game or stored film., then instantly uploads then to Bungie.net where you can download them.
- MW2: Only if you have a capture card that is active and recording the game you are playing

Video's and Film Clips:
- Halo 3: Theater mode allows you to take video clips of any non-campaign game, which can be stored on a file share, and rendered online at Bungie.net where they can be downloaded.
- MW2: Only if you have a capture card is active and recording the game you are playing

Custom Game Types:
- Halo 3: Multiple gametypes, all of which can be edited from movement speed to bomb detonation and arming times and saved to number of points scored for splattering someone. Game variants can be saved and then played on with friends
- MW2: Multiple gametypes, all of which can be edited (although to a lesser extent than halo) and cannot be saved.

Map Editing:
- Halo 3: Real Time Map editing used to create millions of possible variants with unique items on each map, with the capabilities of floating items, items merged with others, items merged with the walls of the game, and items doing all three of the mentioned. Map variants can be saved and then played on with friends
- MW2: Nope.

I don't understand why everyone loves MW2, even my friends who I would play matchmaking, custom games and forge with on Halo 3 have all turned to MW2 for reasons I cannot understand. The only thing I ever loved from the Call of Duty series was the Zombies. And that wasn't even in MW2.

On another note, what can you not love about chain sawing through your enemies as steroid filled grunting maniacs in Gears of War? How can you not understand where the fun lies in that?

Now to wait for the trolls and flamers....
