Okay clearly you skipped over most of my post because if you payed attention that last part was about everyone loving Bioshock except me. Also, yes I do hide behind boxes but at least that means I have to think. Like Yatzhee said, I find it nice to know that the parts of my brain that aren't shoot, kill, teabag still work.dx__ said:That made it exciting. I remember my heart racing because I had 10 health left and I knew I was about to get into a big firefight. That's why I enjoyed FPS games. With regen, I just hide behind a box for a minute.archvile93 said:What's so bad about regen health? before, all you had was a health bar which really pissed me off since it was fairly common to go into a massive boss fight with 2 health.dx__ said:Anything with regenerating health. The modern mix of RPG and FPS. Games where graphics and realism takes precedence over fun and storyline.
And on your point about these people being right... Why the hell do I care about these other people? This entire thread is about 'popular' things that I, as an individual, hate - not what is awesome and what isn't.
Wow, you didn't even get off of the Citadel...that's pretty shitty. Better luck next time champ.Blanket said:It's been mentioned to death, but I can't stress how much I hate the undeserved popularity the Halo franchise got. And Master Chief sitting up there with mascots doesn't sit well with me at all, stupid green douchebag...
Aside from that, Mass Effect. Not so much a hate thing, more confusion as to why it's popular. I bought it because it was only like, £5 in the store. I just could not get into it at all, there was nothing gripping about it at all, not the story, not the gameplay, not anything. For the love of God tell me what I'm missing that makes Mass Effect such a gem. I got up to some weird alien strip-club and decided to give up forcing myself to enjoy it.
I know but why do they keep adding them up as a seriesRafe said:They're not sequels, they're different games.henritje said:any game set in WWO2 THIS PATH IS OVER! and the Final Fantasy series for dragging on for 10+ sequals
Well anyways, I hate Football related games, and I guess I never liked Gears of War.
Increases sales and gives the company more stability over producing a genre.henritje said:I know but why do they keep adding them up as a seriesRafe said:They're not sequels, they're different games.henritje said:any game set in WWO2 THIS PATH IS OVER! and the Final Fantasy series for dragging on for 10+ sequals

why dont they do the same as castlevania? castlevania is a long-running series but stopped counting at 4 I mean look they released 13 but my reactio is more like this: damn ANOTHER SEQUAL?!?! but castlevania keeps it fresh it goes like this: 1-4 and then they started naming itRafe said:Increases sales and gives the company more stability over producing a genre.henritje said:I know but why do they keep adding them up as a seriesRafe said:They're not sequels, they're different games.henritje said:any game set in WWO2 THIS PATH IS OVER! and the Final Fantasy series for dragging on for 10+ sequals

Your not alone, Surely this will die down eventually right? :/CivilWar said:Umm. Never been a fan of Gears of War either. But I don't think theres any games I actually HATE with a passion.
What does annoy me is when I see everyone on my friends list playing MW2 when I don't have/don't want it.
Red Alert 3 wasn't THAT bad, but you're right C&C 4 can die in a fire, and this comes from a fan of the series from it's very beginning. Otherwise [flame shield up] I hate Half-Life 1, I've tried so many times to get into it but just couldn't. Half-Life 2, what bit of it I played was great but the first one just rubbed me the wrong way.Cid SilverWing said:Halo 3
