I'm wondering what sites you guys are going to to get so many porn pop-ups i honestly cant remember in the last time i was hit with a porn pop-up, just could be my sweet pop-up blocker tho. tho on the OP, porn is the exploitation and objectification of women and that there is whats wrong IMO
Any porn that uses women against their will is obviously dangerous territory (some submissive acts withstanding), but as long as all parties involved are willing, I see no reason why porn shouldn't be allowed.
The old 'objectificiation' argument is something I wholly agree with; yet I dont believe it's
that big an issue. These people are free to do whatever they like with their bodies, and the decision to objectify themselves is purely their own. It's hardly gender specific, either- sex, in it's typified state, requires a degree of dominance on behalf of the male- so there's a gneder imbalance from the start, merely because nature said so.
Both men and women watch porn, so the only reason there seems to be a gender imbalance (on top of the reason given above)is because more straight men watch porn- the target demographic calls for submissive females- much in the same way that porn aimed at women portrays submissive males. If more women were to watch porn, i'm sure the glove would switch hands.
I'm not going to deny that women are the base focus of most pornography- but that's merely because men have more desire to see such a thing.
Exploitation, on the other hand, is the main thorn in the side of the industry. It's impossible to deny that many young men and women are forced into selling themselves for the money porn offers- and this is, in my opinion, the only major problem with it.
Yet if porn were to just become less of a taboo subject, maybe we wouldn't be afraid to talk about the dangers of exploitation, and could work towards addressing the problem.
