Not on portal, but actually on dead space 2. I'm not too sure why, but I can't play the game for more than 30 minutes at a time without feeling extremely dizzy or feeling the need to throw up. I mean, I'm running at like 40 fps or something, so it's not lag that's causing it.

Never.
I do remember that in my first playthrough when i was getting the hang of portals i'd sometimes get lost when going from a portal to another, but that's because i was just getting the mechanics and wrapping my head around teleportation, and how portals worked.
But never Nausea.

Increase the FOV (I normally set it to maximum).

EDIT: Since someone has already set it to you, Valve specifically seem to run their games in a narrower FOV. They're the only games that do it to me too.

It used to be a problem in some games for me. I can't remember it happening much over the last few years though, if at all.

I struggle to believe that this actually happens.

No game has ever made me so much as slightly ill. I have to play constantly for a very long time before they even give me a headache. But, I suppose they wouldn't include all those warnings if it didn't.

Sucks to be you man. I know what being seasick feels like, and if it's anything like that, no game could convince me to go through that. Not even Portal.

I can't play Star Wars: Dark Forces 1/2 for more than 5 minutes at a time. Just Cause 2 caused problems for a while, but that faded.

Damn... that's not nice. The game is really good.

I can see why it would make you nauseous - sometimes, when going through a portal on the floor to exit a portal on a wall, the sudden orientation change makes me confused, at least. Is that what's causing it, do you think?

I've had it happen to me a few times. I've gotten better about it but every once in a while it bugs me. I think the last game to do it to me was Nightmare House 2.

No I haven't gotten any problems like this ever even from Mirror's Edge or anything. Someone said the FoV might be too low as I always max mine out so that would probably help me not to feel like that.

Nope. Hasn't happened to me. Although whenever I fall into the bottomless pits from high rises in side-scrollers, my stomach jumps a bit.

Half-Life 1 made me nausious.

I did stop playing Portal 1 in a single-play through my second time due to I don't know, "frustration". I was going through it fine and enjoying myself, but I had a suddern feeling that I should stop playing.

I think it's just the graphics engine. Perhaps just don't play it for long periods of time. Is interesting how far games have came.

Only game that's ever given me motion sickness (not to mention a headache from all the f*cking bright white lights) is Mirrors Edge. I dunno, maybe some people are more susceptible to it than others.

I had to be sent out of that class, not because I was disgusted, but nobody else could take the class seriously when I jammed my pencil through the pupil and spun it round singing "you spin me right round".

No relevance, but its a fun story to tell and I rarely get to tell people.

OT:

I didn't get overly sick from it. I did once, but to be completely honest, I was drunk, had just stumbled in and the motion sickness was probably the result of the alcohol.

I was fine with it but I got an extra copy when i got the orange box I think...or I got a spare copy some how gave it to my mate who proceeded to play the first few levels and then put it down because it was making him feel noshious.
I suppose not many games encourage you to jump from great hights and fly though the air like portal does.

F.E.A.R. 2 made me nauseous. Not because of the gore, but because of the stupid headbob that felt like the player was tripping over his shoelaces the entire game.
