To answer your question with another question: Do we "need" any game?
No.
Chinese ecomony is based on WoW gold farming, i am not educated in economy, but with the whole economical crisis and stuff i think chinese economy is important, therefore WoW is importent

Blizzard: keeps the world ecomonics running

Wow...he used a badger as a weapon...wow.
You ask what purpose a game like this has? To have fun perhaps? The Postal series is just about that. Don't think to much into it.
Probably wont buy unless its cheap.

But we could let China collapse.
We'd be fine.
I mean, it's not like 99% of everything ever made comes from China.
No sir.
Ok new slogan then.

Buy WoW gold and support blizzard, 'cause you don't wan't poor chinise children to starve

If I'm honest, compared to what I'm used to now, this doesn't look so 'omgwtf so uber violent and senseless!'. I don't see thát much gore, a bit comparable to Fallout 3, but less detailed. It also looks much more comical, a bit like Saints Row 2, but with more gore, and well with weapons like that rabid badger... No I'm not majorly shocked.

Or do you?
...No, I guess not...
But I don't want to buy gold! Or play WoW again!
I want my life back! *sob*
If u managed to quit, and not re-join when WotLK came out you should be fine. ANd as you said above, you can still support chinese chilred by buying almost everything else, so i guess the new slogan would be something like

Buy stuff! cause you don't want chinese children to starve

I was going to say no, we don't.
Then I saw the badger weapon. Yes. This game is an absolute must.

Why, I certainly would play another Postal game. Postal 2 didn't allow itself to get bogged down by plot or realism and just said to the player, "Here is thy cat-silenced shotgun. Do as thou wish." It was fun, and the game only demanded as much violence as you were willing to dish out.

I'm not sure what kind of person comes up with a game like Postal, nor what kind of person finances a game like that, nor what kind of store actually carries it... although, well, with a little thought, I suppose I actually do.

Answer to all three: ones that know there are a number of little boys with an unhealthy fascination for hurting things out there who will pay a lot of money for it. But really, if they're so eager to give creepy kids bad ideas, why not just toss themselves off of something tall onto something very hard instead? It would save the entire game industry, including developers, publishers and of course us players, so much grief... and who knows, maybe they'll only be paralyzed afterwards, and the creepy little boys can come visit them in hospital and cruelly poke at their mangled, bandaged limbs.

If you like it then "Oh gawd yes!"
If you didn't "No"
If you've never heard of it "Meh."

As long as video games are a release for violent feelings that can't be expressed in real life there will be games like this. All some people want is a way to tear innocents apart with no story or purpose, just violence. Therefore it will be made. It won't be art and it will sell terribly but it will fill a niche.

There was a lot more in postal 2 then using a cat as a silencer

-Cat Silencer would even meow when you fired the gun
-Playing fetch with dogs. Could knock of a person's head with a shovel and then play fetch with it and a nearby dog.
-Continuously electrocute someone until they loose control of their functions.

The list goes on...

It was a great game and 3 will probably be pretty good too. It is like playing redneck rampage. They didn't simply think outside of the box, they spit on it and stomped on it. We need more game developers that are willing to push the boundaries.
