[Doc Theta Sigma]

[You're not gonna kill me off so early are you? ]

Doc stepped back as Sparrow shifted into an eagle, flew up and landed on the other side of the rooftop. He was beginning to panic... He had no hand to hand training to defend himself with and his mind control didn't seem to work on Sparrow.

"It doesn't have to be this way. All I want to do is talk to all of you"

 

[SamuelT]

"Patrick, you help the authorities clear out the 5% and 20%. If you can just get into their minds and keep them busy the others will take them down." Samuel said. "I'm going to take #8 down."

Samuel grasped his own strings and lifted them, making him able to fly up to the building. Sparrow was busy annoying the crap out of #8, clawing his face.

[Of course not, this is all part of a plan =)]

 

[Doc Theta Sigma]

Doc stepped back, swinging his arms out at Sparrow who was clawing at his face. He knew there was no way he was going to win this fight. As Samuel landed on the building, Doc got an idea. He concentrated on Samuel, trying to disorient him.

 

[Sparrow]

Sparrow stopped in his tracks, and flipped backward, changing into his human form.

"This is so going to hurt, eig-- Sam? Whats up? You don't look too good..."

 

[SamuelT]

Samuel swatted the disturbance away from his mind. He was weaker then usual but still able to overpower the #8. Pity, I was hoping for a competant Character this time...

"Explain yourself, Doc."

[I'm just being incharacter. Nothing personal!]

 

[Doc Theta Sigma]

Doc looked suspiciously at the two as they stopped and was told to explain himself.

"You've seen what they've done to us. If the public found out they'd lock us up again... They might even kill us. What I'm proposing is a safe haven for us all. We're superior to the rest of humanity. We need to strike first. Before they do"

 

[Sparrow]

"We're still human. Sure we're a little different, but we've not changed personality wise since the tests."

Sparrow stopped.

"Who's they?"

 

[SamuelT]

Strike first? Safe haven?

"Where is this safe haven, Doc? Sounds good, actually..."

Patrick quickly focused all the power of the Gift that he could muster, and took control of one of the 20%'s. This one was named Squelch: he had water-manipulating powers.

Er... how many are there? This is sorta vital.

 

[SamuelT]

[Quite a few. Think in the lines of 30, 40 people at the moment.]

HOLY SHIT! THAT MANY!?!?! Ok, I'll see what I can do then...

Patrick then linked himself to the minds of several firefighters in the area. He sent out a general command: one that would temporarily over-ride their minds. it was a temporary solution at best, but hopefully that was all he was going to need:

Hit THIS PERSON with water! *Thought-picture of Squelch*

Prepare for a show...

 

[Doc Theta Sigma]

"I've taken over the research facility. After you left it was basically turned into a prison for the rest of us left behind. I've seen what they want to do to us... Armed guards were at every entrance."

Doc looked at them both.

"You saw what they did to us. They took everything and imprisoned us for three decades. Our relatives and friends are dead. We have nothing."

 

[SamuelT]

Rage boiled inside Samuel. He hadn't thought of the 'humans'' in his quest of answers. They had been standing at the sideline, doing nothing. How many times did he get a look of terror when someone knew what he could do. He felt rage, rage at Doc for having a valid point and his own incapability to rip this guy apart.

"We..indeed have nothing. So..what do you suggest?"

Patrick got Squelch to focus his powers, twisting the water that the firemen were blasting at him. The 5%'s and the few 20%'s that were there were laughing, thinking that their ally had just gotten a big boost in power.

Suprise, motherfuckers...

Patrick used Squelch's power like a cannon, blasting all the power users there with concentrated shots to the head, knocking them unconscious.

It won't kill them, but they'll wake up with a baaaad headache.

Patrick managed to take down about 13 of the 34 users that were there before they wised up, including 5 of the 12 20%'s.

 

[Doc Theta Sigma]

"We take them out of the equation so to speak. I have military hardware at my disposal... It's hardly a tactical nuclear strike but we could use it"

Doc looked at Samuel.

"Join us. I don't want to kill any of you... You're too important. Why fight amongst ourselves when we can fight the ones that did this to us and then discarded us?"

 

[Sparrow]

"Sam, don't barter with him. He's not right in the head."

Doc grinned at Samuel.

"Don't tell me you think he's right?"

 

[SamuelT]

Samuel looked at Sparrow, almost resenting the answer he was going to give.

"I think he is, Sparrow."

Sparrow's face turned from disbelief, to rage.

 

[Sparrow]

"Then I guess theres nothing left to say, is there Samuel?"

Sparrow's hands shifted to solid metal.

"Actions speak louder than words, and if you won't listen to reason, I'll just have to force you to."

 

[SamuelT]

Samuel's expression was sorrow. He had found a friend in Sparrow, and now he had lost one. If only he'd understand...

Samuel tried to tug at a few of Sparrow's strings, but as expected he couldn't manipulate them. They were too changable, too unsteady to get a grip on them. Samuel lifted himself off the roof, floating in the air.

"I'm sorry about this..."

Patrick abandoned Squelch, leaving her to the devices of the teammates she had just betrayed. Quickly, he sent a thought to Sparrow:

Hey, I managed to cause some chaos down here, but they'll figure out my ruse quickly. What's going on?! Take that guy down!!!
