Doc had seen the explosion in the distance when it happened. He'd been patrolling the city as usual... Considering what he'd do about the other Prototypes when it happened but the explosion had diverted his attention. An explosion less than two miles away. He doubted the other Prototypes caused it... So he figured he better go see what the fuss was.
Melding back into his shadow form, he leapt into the sky and began flying towards the site as fast as he could. Explosions didn't just happen for no reason after all. It wasn't long before he swooped down onto a building opposite the site. Emergency personnel and news crews littered the site of a destroyed building. All shattered glass, rubble and twisted metal. Just like the Russia incident. He surveyed the scene. It was too similar. No way it could be a coincidence.
Doc walked across the roof and dropped off the side of the building silently behind an ambulance just as an EMT was getting out of the back.
"What the-" The man was cut off as Doc pressed a single finger into the EMT's forehead and took him over.
It felt great. He had complete control over the EMT while regaining his own consciousness. It was absolute power. As the EMT, he picked up his bag and ran out towards the scene. Firefighters were searching through the rubble for survivors as another EMT treated a young woman nearby. As Doc approached, he could see she looked terrified. She was young with a very fair complexion. She had short dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes... No older than 20.
The other EMT turned around as Doc approached.
"I'm fine thanks. I can manage" The EMT said.
"Firefighters need your help. Found a couple of bodies... Or what's left of them anyway" Doc said.
The other EMT eyed him suspiciously.
"Then why aren't you helping?" He asked.
"I've been told to take over" Doc said.
The EMT sighed and nodded, leaving the two alone and headed for the rubble of the building. Doc approached the woman and put on some rubber gloves. He might as well at least play the part.
