"Erm...look around you, that is how we're alive."

Rosa pointed with her spare arm to the purple bubble around them.

"Did you think I was standing like this for my own benefit?"

"Ah, finally. Now that you have arrived, please take a seat. You may pick up a drink or a sandwich for the bar, if you wish, before we begin." Nikolai said, as Sander and Rufus entered the room.

He coughed and waited until everyone was seated, then, he continued.

"Gentlemen. You probably know me already, but, in case you didn't catch it the first time, or keep forgetting, my name is Nikolai. Nikolai Sokolov. You may call me Kolja, if you wish. Now, we have arrived here with an express purpose of commandeering this location as a temporary base of operations. Naturally, we cannot remain here indefinitely and therefore, I propose a plan."

He took out a briefcase and put it on the table, before opening it. Inside was a laptop and a large sum of money. "This will be our most basic kit of operations, since I don't plan on working together all of the time. This is my briefcase, but you will find enough for everyone, I am sure."

"Included are the empty laptops that you can see on the table, right in front of you." He motioned towards the laptops on the table, "One for each of you. The only thing they have included is a Spetsnaz trace protection program and a small "chat" program for contacting the rest of us, if we are split up. Also included is 25,000$ in small bills, unmarked, which I... gathered from the safe. Now, onto the plans themselves."

He used the projector to display a map of the world on the screen. He pointed to New York.

"We, Gentlemen, are here. While it would be great to go, er, what is the expression? Willy-nilly all around the state, I'm sure we can do better. Now, the best thing that I have discovered about our condition is that a power like mine can spread it further amongst our populace."

He turned on the TV's, which were now showing a recording of zombie-like people shuffling around the streets of New York.

"They are our minions. And seeing as we are still quite human and can be killed rather easily, we will need more of them. Much more. We will need an army."

He coughed, slowing down, and continued.

"Plan 1. We take all the funds we have and make haste to San Francisco to take a plane or cargo ship to Russia. In my homeland, I can get in touch with certain... elements. We will take over the ministry of the Interior and ministry of Space, then use the Spetsnaz authentication to gather as many of the nuclear missiles as possible under a guise of armament inspection by the ministry of Space. We infect them and launch the entirety, about 24,000, into every part of the globe, not only causing untold devastation, but also spreading the virus in a thick cloud over the entire globe. Very high chance of success, minimal chance of detection."

"Plan 2. We stay in the USA and hit every major army depot and base, gathering stronger followers for the cause. Once we have enough, we use them to take over major cities, then send our armies of superior humans to take over the Americas and, eventually, the world. Costly and time-consuming is the only problem in this case. Lowest chance of success of the three."

"Plan 3. We quietly leave for Africa and become warlords there. Gathering money from the locals and various international visitors, we create a REAL base on a remote location, where we use corrupt scientists to create a fast-spreading biological weapon, or "plague", if you wish and then separate and release it in four different parts of the world, before returning to our base and barricading ourselves inside for a small amount of time, until the plague has spread completely and thoroughly through the entire world. High chance of success, low chance of detection."

He paused, breathing slowly and clearly. Then, he finished his speech.

"What you must understand is that we can no longer allow ourselves to kill indiscriminately and completely unhindered. We can afford Some casualties, but not a lot. And you must understand that we can only succeed if we work together. These are my suggestions. Now, it is your turn. Naturally, I suggest we use plan number 1."

Samuel sat crouched near a pool of water. He saw the fuzzy lines above it, indicating a shift in warmth and radiation levels. He stared at it, trying to find a distinct pattern. There was none. Radiation was so damn shifty. But after a while, he did see a pattern. Chaos, but repeating itself.

He flattened the strings, and saw the pattern smoothen. He kept the hold on it. After about twenty minutes. he felt a stinging pain on his right hand. His skin was cuut right across the back of it, bleeding badly.

Damn..

"So, we should totally keep in the giant bubble. That's our plan for now."

Everyone was a bit on edge, needless to say. After all, it wasn't the ideal situation to be in. It was apparent that some members of the group were taking it less seriously than others, however. Sparrow's rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody had proven evidence enough so far.

"I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy. Because I'm easy come, easy go. Little high, little low..."

The group, now spurred on by Sparrow's "war cry", as Samuel had affectionally put it, trundled foward. They'd reached what seemed to be the remains of the the green lady herself, the Statue of Liberty.

"It's too late, my time has come. Sent shivers down my spine. Bodies aching all the ti-- whoa, here we are."

The group stood around, observing the sights. It was a sight to behold.

"I can't believe we didn't bring a camera."

Samil took a moment to consider the three options.
"I do like the second plan, but it lacks the nuclear missile detail. Nukes are just too damn good to pass up. Especially if it means I'm pushing the launch button. So I say we go with your first one."

"I've still got one up my ass if you want it."

Rosa laughed at her joke.

"Surprisingly, it isn't that hard to hold off now. Oh well. Ol' lady liberty looks a little worse for wear, wouldn't you say?"

"Kolly!" Sander yelled, when the Russian told him they could call him Kolja.
Listening careful to Nikolai talking away, he suddenly got sceptical, and waited for the man to stop his speech to object.
As soon as he stopped, Samil's voice echoed throughout the room, and he patiently waited for him to finish.

"Hey, Kolly?" he asked, continuing after he got his attention.
"You're an ambitious guy, and all, but I'm not really sure I want to destroy the whole world. I mean, ruling the world? Sure, it'd be pretty cool. But nuclear missiles to every part of the world? What do we do after the plan's completed?" he said, his attention hazing away for a slow while that he glanced at the laptops, quickly levitating the prettiest of them onto the part of the table right in front of him.
"So, uhh, plan 2 is what I'd pick. It seems like the only one about taking over, not destroying. I think I like it better," he said, turning on the computer, noticing the user was password-protected.

"What kind of virus is it, anyway?" he said, taking another laptop to see if he had better luck with that, hoping to ask someone if they could somehow get in after he'd get his answer from the Russian.

Rufus stepped forward for a change, instead of hanging back. "I, too, do not like the idea of burning this world. It is our duty to help raise others to have powers like us, not to destroy them, or turn them into mindless slaves".

Rufus walked around the table and took a seat, interlacing his fingers and resting his elbows on the table, so that his hands hid his mouth. "I also choose plan two. It would mean the least possible loss of life if successful, I believe."

Nikolai probably grinned under the mask. You could never really tell. He clapped slowly and then he spoke once more. "The password is your subject number. 42, I believe. I changed it while you were ...busy."

"You are also very clever, Comrade. You seem to have noticed the single part of the plan that I had left blank, allow me to elaborate."

Nikolai took a pen from the table and scribbled something down into a notebook he had acquired from a desk.

"It is true that if we send these missiles to capitals and cities, we'd end up with a barren wasteland of an Earth. But my idea was that we designate them to detonate in remote parts of the globe - Greenland, Antarctica, Siberia and so on. The volume of nuclear explosions should be enough to spread a radioactive field with the virus all across the planet, turning over 90% of the global population into those beings and leaving the planet as a blank slate for us to rule. There would still be cities, civilized comforts and so on, but we would be masters of the globe, which would only be made up of people like ourselves. The other 10%, we can eliminate. And as for the radiation, according to my calculations, my presence on the globe would extinguish the radioactive cloud withing a two weeks. If there are at least three of us with this gift on the entire globe, then it would take a few days."

He paused and turned a pen in his hands a few times over, before continuing.

"This plan is safe, reasonable and is an almost guaranteed success. The others are time-consuming and difficult. But this one, we could pull off much more easily. And when the plan is completed, we create a new civilization for people like us. The sky is the limit, I believe the expression is."

He paused again, having difficulty breathing, apparently. A few coughs later, he answered the other question.

"What virus this is, I have no idea. But it seems to spread our... abilities through the populace, is resistant to heat, moisture and radiation. Perfect, some may say."

Finally, Nikolai stopped talking and approached the window. He looked out into the green fields around this building. It reminded him of his homeland. Mother Russia. He spoke again.

"If... we remain here, our chance of success is nearly 6.546%. That is not good. We could be overwhelmed and destroyed. The government could find agents that could take us out. We are, after all, only slightly better versions of humans. The fact that we'd have to use armies to take control of the world would probably result in nuclear weapons being used against us and the Third Great War. If you wish to preserve life, then Plan 1 is your best chance. However, if you choose plan 2, so be it."

"Heh, 6 point what-sha-haa? Way to pull a number out of your ass," Sander said laughing.
"If the plan really goes as you say it will, then you may have even convinced me," he said, typing quickly in 42 to the password box, and greeted with a dull, black desktop, though with a sleek, black Windows 7 design.

Sarah took a deep breath in and sighed. "It's good to know that you guys aren't terrified to do this." I know I am.

She cleared her throat and turned to Sparrow. "So, should we be looking for anything in particular?"

Samuel tightened the bandage around his right hand, stopping the blood. Something felt really, really wrong here. The radiation made it hard for him to actually feel what was wrong. He noticed a blackened arm poke out from the rubble, pointing at the sky.

He frowned. Was that thing..twitching?

Sparrow looked to his left, watching Samuel bandage his hand. His eyes followed Samuel's, as he stared at an arm beneath some rubble. A rather animated arm.

"Holy shit."

Before Samuel or Sparrow could point it out, the body beneath the rubble dug it's way out. The charred corpse shambled toward them at speed, suddenly erupting with fire. It sprinted at Sparrow, but was quickly cut down by Samuel. The group exchanged worried stares as the corpse hit the ground.

"Was that, a lesser?"

"Alright, alright. Everyone just calm down. It was just one, tiny-- oh, shit."

Sparrow and Samuel slowly backed up toward the group, as more of the mindless husks rose from beneath the rubble. Some were already near enough to make contact, but both of the men did their best to drive them away.

"Chirst! There's got to be like, fifty of them. Maybe a hundred! Where'd they all come from?"

To put it quite bluntly, I HAVE BEEN SO FREAKING BUSY.

I would have posted earlier, but NewC's This Bites RP had been waiting on my 1000 word post for a week. And, yeah, I made another RP. Not the smartest idea now that I think about it, but meh.

Hello by the way!

"I have no idea, but what I do know is, I don't want them any damn closer!"

Rosa firmly supported herself by putting her weight on her back leg. It was obviously for defensive purposes.

Rufus cracked his fingers, then leaned forwards, phasing through the table, to grab one of the briefcases, then leaned back in his seat. He opened the case, and pulled out the laptop, opened it, and typed in the number '37'. The desktop loaded. It was running Vista. Rufus wiped his face in frustration, then set to changing his password and setting up additional security measures. "You already know I want to choose the option with the least fatalities. And I don't want to turn people into slaves. I want to share our gifts with them..."
