There is child abuse, and adult abuse, but no such thing as teenager abuse.

Kick her out of the house and let her live on her own. Let her see how hard it is maybe then she will appreciate what she gets.

I mean it worked on my brother.
Exact same story in my family, except it was my cousin as well.
She really started to appreciate what life she had, and stopped being a *****.

Kick her out. I don't care about smoking weed, but stealing booze and being generally disrespectful is grounds enough to kick her out.

Give her the boot. Or, if you don't care about the ethical considerations, steal her drugs (if it's just weed, you can throw it in the garbage or flush it if you bust the buds) and lock the booze up. If you REALLY don't care about ethics, leave a few bottles in reasonable places, except add an emetic to the liquor (something like ipecac), sit back, and watch the fun. She won't be drinking as much if she's been conditioned to associate alcohol with becoming violently ill after a drink or two. It may not work, but it WILL be entertaining.

throw her out untill shes permanently sober and slamming the door in desperation for food and water. then consider letting her in.

else give her an overdose. its usually painless and fast (if it goes wayyyyyy too far).

Tough love: Kick their ass out and don't look back.

My first reaction is that this is hugely the parent's fault for letting their kid grow up to act this way. You raise them right and it's very rare for a non-trouble maker to become a druggie fiend, but there IS such a thing as personal responsibility and that cousin of yours is an immature brat who should know better, but since she doesn't she needs to go live somewhere else. Preferably on the real streets where her actions would have real consequences.

most 16 year old girls can be broken by taking away their phone and facebook.

If you are her age, then beat the shit out of her. That's not child abuse that's just being taught a lesson.

My sister would sometimes try to go gangsta on my mother knowing that she's weaker, so I teach her that if she tries to act like a ***** she will get beaten to tears.

Anyone who thinks this is wrong was probably raised with one sibling in a nice quiet family so they should talk.
Having had to grow up with three older brothers (and regular disagreements between me, and the rest of the family), I find it hard to describe, just how wrong you actually are.

Ot; I will assume, that you tried reasoning with her already? If she's not interested in that, just show her the way out.

While I do agree with your statement to some extent, I have to say that it isn't always the fault of the parent, some times children can be so unruly and rebellious that even boundaries can't control them.

OT: Just throw her out of the house, then she'll learn to appreciate what she has.

She is only doing this because she knows she can get away with it.
Make sure she cant get away with it. Or else she will keep thinking that it is ok.

This.

This is the perfect solution...I especially like the idea of adding an emetic(or whatever) to the booze.

My solution would be to beat that ***** and kick her out of your house.

Take her into international waters and kick her ass.

That way your free from the law.

Or have someone her age kick her ass. Preferably someone from the family. That way you can say it was just "kids being kids."

Or if you can't do any of that for whatever reason kick her ass out of the house. If she wants to comeback make her sign something stating she will follow rules.

Thats all you can do, and if they choose not to then they have no one to blame but themselves.

Juvie sounds like a good idea. If she goes to a detention center they will get her counseling and detox her. And seeing what real hardcore chicks are like may straighten her ass out. You don't feel so tough when you share a bunk with a murderer.

It's the parents fault for not setting boundaries and disciplining the girl in the first place. If she's at the age where she can drop out school, kick her out and let her screw up her own life rather than bringing misery to everyone else's.

How old is this girl? If she's older than 16 call the cops and have her taken to jail.
OP is American and the girl in question dropped out of high school, so the girl has to be at least 16. I say just kick her out. If she wants to act like a twat, she gets to live on her own for a while. Eventually she'll miss a warm bed and grow up. If she doesn't and lives on her own just fine, then everything still worked out.

Send her to the Escapist basement. That'll teach her....

Or kick her out - She'll soon learn to appreciate what you do for her.
