Half Life, Pokeymanns, Call Of Booty, Metal Gear, Warcraft, and a few others I can't recall due to general grogginess.

Please get rid of the Battlefield series. Also, get rid of Valve as a company...
Ok ok ok. Hold on there a minute just to clarify you don't actually think Valve make Battlefield games? As a side note I would threads like this never to pop up again. They are flame wars waiting to happen.

OT: Crash games and FFVII knockoff games. The Crash games unless they actually put some love in and make it a decent series again. The FFVII ones as I want them to stop ruining my favourite FF and stop giving haters fuel to flame the game.

What is it with everyone wanting the Final Fantasy series to end? Each game changes and morphs with each new iteration. It's not like they're pumping out the same game every four-five years as with every Western franchise.

Speaking of which, Guitar Hero and Rock Band need to go. The first few games were fun but there's been barely any evolution, particularly with Guitar Hero.
It is not necessarily that they're pumping final fantasy out day by day, but frankly the series just doesn't appeal to some people. It doesn't appeal to me and I've never been a fan, especially since so many RPGs followed in its footsteps that just annoy me. Though, I will agree that Guitar Hero needs to go; and Rock Band? Well, I like Rock Band still, but I think 3, along with a huge store, is quite enough Rock Band to last me for the rest of my days.

Sonic and Mario were good once, we had some good times and I enjoyed playing their games. However, they' become stale and they're nothing but a shell now being milked to death. Please, just end it.

It pains me to say it; because I still play 'Restless Dreams' to this very day, but seriously, it's time to give some dignity to the 'Silent Hill' franchise and just let it go. If 8 can actually redeem the series, it would be a good note to end on.

Another series that has been in a shambles since the dawn of the PS2 is the 'Castlevania' line. I love (and own) all 3 of the original NES Castlevania games; yet outside of 'Symphony of the Night', the MANY titles that have emerged with the title of 'Castlevania' have largely been a disappointment. Some were riddled with poor design, others with terrible cameras and controls, along with some really craptastic storytelling. The magic is gone, and all the CGI in the world isn't going to replace that. Please, let it go already.

OT: End Call of Duty and make something that's actually interesting and innovative as opposed being designed to make money above all else.

I think it's high time Capcom loaded up their customised S.T.A.R.S Beretta M92F Samurai Edge and took ol' Resident Evil round the back of the lab... He's an old dog and he'll only keep pissing on the established narrative if he's not put down. There there, Resident Evil... You can't ruin Wesker any more...

Pokemon. It should have ended long ago... It pains me too see it do flashy tricks to appeal to the new audience and it just ends up being crap :(
I must Disagree with you there my good sir, I have stuck with the games since the beginning and in my eyes they have consistently gotten better.

Pokemon, just because they're keeping it as a handheld game. I remember them saying it was because they didn't think Pokemon wouldn't work if it wasn't on a handheld console, sure they say that but all I hear is "We love money and hate work". I just wish they would stop polluting the market with crappy cloned DS games and at least try to turn Fire Red into a Wii game.

I'm gonna go with the obvious answer, Call of Duty, but hear me out - I have a (relatively) good reason, heh.

I actually quite enjoyed what little I played of the first Modern Warfare, World at War, and Black Ops. I don't mind the games themselves, really. But the massive success of Call of Duty is probably the main reason for the "brown depletion" Shamus Young mentioned in Stolen Pixels - too many games look like Call of Duty clones these days.

Furthermore, I am deathly afraid of what Activision has in store for Call of Duty's future. I don't soon plan to forget Kotick's talk of subscription-based multiplayer, and if Call of Duty pulls something like that off successfully, soon everyone will be copying them.

Basically, I think Call of Duty, though fun, is bad for the gaming industry as a whole.

Kill Zelda.

Nintendo have lost their touch.

That, or at least give it fucking voice acting for once.
IF they give Link a voice actor, less than ten percent of zelda fans would actually like that voice. the other ninety and change would dislike it for a hundred different reasons.
Short story, you cannot ever please everyone.
