As people have said, we need a "None of the Above" option. A reboot/sequel to any of these movies would be an utter and unnecessary failure.

How about coming up with new movies or at least rip something off and call it your own?

The only reboot I would ever be interested in is a gritty Buck Rodgers and the 24th Century. Only due to the 70s TV show being so horrible and ruining to the franchise.

Also how do you sequel Heathers?

Labyrinth - no contest.

Re-watching this movie with my kids, though, I was shocked at how sexual it is. The whole Labyrinth is basically an allegorical representation of a girl's journey through puberty.

A sample of the evidence (there's plenty more):
1. The Bog of Unending Stench = embarrassing bodily changes
2. Poisoned apple = Adam & Eve (loss of innocence)
3. Masquerade/Ballroom = sex (come on! Dancing, masks, mirrors, drinking - it's obvious)
4. The 'fake' bedroom in the garbage dump = retreat to childhood after being frightened by the sexual atmosphere of the masquerade
5. Connelly's words that break the Goblin King's spell? "You have no power over me." She basically claims her sexual independence and tells the older pervert to get lost.

I agree with this post. Let's let the memories these these celluloid gems of the 80's remain untarnished by re-makes and sequels.

Am I a bad person for only knowing about 2 of those movies, only seeing one, and liking none?
I'm gonna say none, because the only reason someone would pick up a popular franchise from the 80's in to cash in on it's cult (or other) status.

I'm with the 'where the hell is the 'None of the Above' option?!?' crowd.

The Big Trouble in Little China 2 (or even just a quality remake) suggestion isn't without merit, however.

Love Heathers, real shame it's considered so obscure nowadays.
If the original screenwriter, Daniel Waters, is involved; I wouldn't mind seeing a contemporary version of that premise.
After all, he is the man who wrote Batman Returns. The guy knows what he's doing.

Labyrinth surely, and get Bowie back. I don't care how much we have to pay him.

I think we just need a sequel to the 80s. The 80s: Strike Back. Starring 1980-1989!

I voted Ferris because (call me crazy) but I distinctly remember that there WAS a sequel being made quite a few years ago; the plot basically involving a day off from work. Anybody else hear about that?
You're crazy. Actually, you're right. The movie was supposed to be about Ferris (now a responsible businessman) being convinced by his sister to rehabilitate his niece from her party girl ways which were supposed to make Ferris look like a homebody. However through the course of the movie she ends up reverting him back to his party boy ways.

I think Labarynth is the trippiest one from the list. I wouldn't mind seeing David Bowie and Jennifer Connoly (still hot) duke it out in another MC Escher woodcut.

However if I could pick any 80s movie for a sequel, it would probably have to be
Tom Waits' Big Time... Hell, I'd settle for a re-release of the vhs tape.

Some other ones that would've been good for the list: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Explorers, Fish Called Wanda, Last Starfighter, DARYL, or Akira.

Teen Wolf!

Seriously. Given the current popularity of vampires and werewolves in, yeah, those series, a Teen Wolf sequel could provide some satire on the latter.

Plus the original was hilariously bad, I love it.

As much as I hate sequels, especially ones for things that happened a really long time ago, a sequel to Ferris has some serious potential.
