On a more (or perhaps less) serious note, the metal pencil sharpener has a nice handle and can be a good blunt weapon. I can take out a piece of wood from my book case for use as a shield.

We are talking the country Britain. Not the British Isle landmass-- The people who lived in England during all the invasions you mentioned, Spoke French -- or celtic, or something like that.

Britain -- as A country, was only thought to have existed after 1066. So, no, we as a country have never been invaded. Sure, the place was invaded a long time ago, but the actual country hasn't been invaded.

I don't count having the shit bombed out of us a being invaded. Just the Germans being ass-holes really.

I suppose I could break the door off of the little cabinet under my sink that's connected to the room as a shield. If I can't use one of the swords that are hanging behind me like you said, I do have two legs for a locker mate I could use (they are basically 2 feet long metal sticks I could beat the heck out of people with). You heard me, a war has broken out in your country and you need to find a way to survive, however due to being rushed you only have the time to collect two items

1) Something to defend/shield yourself with
2) Something to attack with

However, you may only select items from the room you are currently in (no cheating) and you are not permitted to choose items that were designed to be weapons or shields.

I would choose the door off my mini fridge as a shield (its thick, it might help) as my shield. And as my weapon, my guitar, it can be used in so many ways.
