Alternatively I would just drag my PC out from under the desk and flop it on it's side over the bomb. it's a 2-year old alien ware case (I know it was a bad idea, and I have replaced pretty much every part except for the CD drive since I got it), probably weighing in at a few metric tons, so it should cushion the blast nicely.
