Yawn... I've just woken up from a three hundred year nap? Are we done with the racist bullshit yet? No? Goodnight all!
If you include a group of immortal beings based on a groups' current of former religion it doesn't matter what you call them, they will be looked on as that groups gods. The whole thing with him losing his powers because of his "lack of faith" also smacks of them being gods since that's what gives them power: faith. You are throwing up a straw man argument on this, Marvel says they aren't gods for only one reason: to appease a largely christian country. You might have forgotten, but christians tried to do to comics in the 50's and 60's what they are doing to video games now, and used Thor being a god as part of their ammunition, claiming that the comics were promoting the worship of pagan religions and satan.icame said:I'll repeat a previous post.HerbertTheHamster said:Heimdall was called the whitest of the gods. Why the hell should he be portrayed as black?
It just doesn't make sense
Do you not follow the comics or the info about the movie? The Marvel characters are not gods. They are beings from another realm/planet who came to Earth. They happened to end up in the Nordic regions, and because they were more advanced, they were seen as gods. They are not human, nor do they hail from Earth.Their skintone means nothing
Because Hollywood has an unwritten rule that there MUST be a black man in every single movie that they make.tthor said:Thor black? but thor is always portrayed as white skin with red(mythology) or blond(comics) hair. he's Scandinavian in origin, for crying out loud. why not make him the way he's forever been portrayed as?
Made me lol XDlvl9000_woot said:Hmm the CCC sounds like the KKK. Either way they can both go fu-ccc-kkk themselves.
As it is within my rights to mock them mercilessly.chronobreak said:So... they boycott the movie. Nothing wrong with that, it is certainly within their rights.
