My parents went to Hawaii. After talking about the emotional visit to Pearl Harbor and how the hobos lived in tents on the beach (damn them!), my mom uttered the following phrase:

Mom: "And you know what else? I felt so safe because there were no blacks!"

Me: *insert biggest facepalm here*

Explanation: My parents grew up in Trinidad where there is a LOT of racial tension between blacks and Indians.

Im racist against sh*tty videogame players, who insist on ruining the game for the rest of the players.

I wish we could put them all in a camp with no internet and laugh as they go through the SEVERAL HORRIBLE STAGES OF DEATH DUE TO DEHIDRATION AND STARVATION, THUS FORCING THEM TO CANNABLIZE EACHOTHER TO SURVIVE.

Sorry about that caps, but i feel strongly about the subject, and nothing anyone says, does, or pays me will change my BLATENT HATE FOR A LOGICAL REASON AGAINST THE FOOLISH 13 YEAROLDS WITH THE SQUEELING VOICES THAT NEED TO BE SCILENCED LIKE AN ANIMAL IN A TRAP THAT NEEDS TO BE PUT DOWN! HAAAAAAAATE!! RAAAAAAGE!!!

My mom is kinda racist, but not like she hates people or think less of them, she just says the silliest things sometimes and doesn't realize until after the fact that it's a teensy bit racist. As for the rest of my family? They seem fine, my brothers are both married to women of different ethnicities.

I wouldn't say they're racist, but they're incredibly ignorant. My close family all read tabloid papers, which is the most poisonous piece of bullshit news ever.
My brother is the "typical" man who reads The Sun; big and burly, tough, doesn't treat women very nice, etc.
Whenever the papers say something along the lines of, "Christmas lights are being banned, because they offend Pakistanis", "England shirts are being banned for the same reason", "Muslims are threatening to bomb the set of Eastenders" they instantly believe it, without question and will go on a rant how, "Those fucking Pakis don't like our Christmas lights, but they don't mind our benefits!!" and so on.
They sprout the most stupidest things.

I don't think anyone in my family is racist, though I don't spend too much time with anyone beyond my parents and siblings. My grandmother once asked if my Spanish teacher was "one of them" but I'm pretty sure she was just curious.

Homophobia I'm less sure of, and frankly I'm afraid to find out.

So I guess it's not really racism if you hate everyone equally.
I have a new word for you guys.

misanthropy: "a generalized dislike, distrust, disgust, contempt and hatred of the human species, human nature, or society"

So you aren't racists, you're just misanthropes.

I'm somewhat racist against the Scottish.

Mainly because I'm one of them.

My genes suck.

I wish I was black.....

I'm sure most people have at least one family member like this (if not, you are one lucky bastard), so..
Post your horror stories about good ol' racist aunt Sally and jew-hating uncle Jim, and seek comfort.
Horror stories? I love racism. I think it's funny as hell.

I'm the 'racist' of the family, though such topics never really come up. However, I make tons of racist jokes all the time around my friends. It's not that I hate any particular group or anything. I just really love racist humor. Except for white jokes. First of all, I never really hear them, (Do they exist?) and second of all, the ones I have heard aren't that clever. :/

My father is very confusing. He keeps spewing racist comments and saying how much he hates black people yet he has a bunch of black people as his best friends....My grandmother is racist though, I cant go out past 6 pm because the big scary black people will rob me for my $3 in change :O

I just hate people calling everyone else a racist. I got turned down for a job because there was an indian(not american native, a real Indian.) woman who applied for the same position. She had half my experience and was somewhat rude, and they gave it to her not to be sued.

Fear of racism is a growing trend here in the US and I'm getting really sick of it. There's other countries out there have done WAAAAAY more terrible things to other races than the US, and are still doing terrible things. Hoewever, it's all our faults apparently. Like usual.

Oh I love racist jokes as well. They're just jokes, they're harmless (mostly, unless you tell them to someone with zero sense of humor). Hell all the black people I talk to laugh at them too. I'm sure every non-caucasian race laughs at us just as much as we laugh at them. Though I can't really think of any white-jokes either :0

my grandparents are like that, except with Mexicans.

they think we should make a human line on the border with Mexico and all of them be armed with machine guns.

Nah, I'm from Blue Alabama; we lynch racists who aren't in our family and exile the rest to the west coast, so it's pretty tolerant around here.

My dad makes racist jokes but they're never founded on actual hate.

As for me, I'm not racist either, but it deeply irritates me when other religions feel they take ownership of the country in a way. I have nothing against them living in England, but if they do I presonally feel they should be respectful of others.

I mean, one thing that REALLY annoyed me concerning this was... well..

Muslims were engraged that the police used that image for the advertisement and the police removed it and apologized. I honestly think the police should of kept it and the Muslims who didn't like it respecfully kept to themselves.

Nope, I'm pretty sure there are none in my family. Actually I've been told that my grandparents hid a jew under WWII.

Oooh, no one in my direct family is, but I find that all the old people I know, like grandmas and grandpas and anyone in the 65+ age group is horribly racist >w<
They were all here in the era of the White Australia Policy, though, so it's understandable. A lot of them don't really like gays either >w<

It's not really very nice, but I still laugh when an adorable little old lady comes out with: "Filthy blacks" >w< It's so wrong...

One of my grandmothers can be a little bigoted, but I can forgive her in that she often catches herself and apologises, and when meeting minorities in person has been friendly as you like. I think she's more set in her ways than racist.

My other grandma though, is just plain hateful. She broke her leg last year, and spent the whole time the nurse was setting it in plaster throwing abuse at her simply because she was black. The last time we took her out for dinner, she was ranting on about how unnecessary a new Muslim school nearby was because (and I quote) 'They'll all end up in jail or driving taxi's anyway'. I pride myself on not being rude to my family members, but I got a lot of shocked looks when I started snarling at her. I can not deal with the woman when she's like that.

My parents and grandparents and aunts, uncles and cousins are all very ethnically tolerant, bot my oldest brother is racist and sexist, quite the black sheep. Oh, but my grandparents to refer to chavs as 'commoners' which is slightly ironic.
