Socialism: You have two cows. You give one to your neighbour.
Communism: You have two cows. The state takes both, and gives you some milk.
Fascism: You have two cows. The state takes both, and sells you some milk.
Nazism: You have two cows. The state takes both and shoots you in a ditch.
Bureaucratism
You have 2 cows.
The state takes both, shoots one, milks the other, and then throws the milk away.

Traditional capitalism
You have two cows.
You sell one and buy a bull.
Your herd multiplies, and the economy grows.
You sell them and retire on the income.

Royal Bank of Scotland venture capitalism
You have two cows.
You sell three of them to your publicly listed company, using letters of credit opened by your brother-in-law at the bank, then execute debt/equity swap with an associated general offer so that you get all four cows back, with a tax exemption for five cows.
The milk rights of the six cows are transferred via an intermediary to a Cayman Island Company secretly owned by the majority shareholder who sells the rights to all seven cows back to your listed company.
The annual report says the company owns eight cows, with an option on one more.
You sell one cow to buy a new president of the United States, leaving you with nine cows.
No balance sheet provided with the release.
The public then buys your bull.

Surrealism
You have two giraffes.
The state requires you to eat the bouncing snowflakes.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

It's called socialist anarchy, and it's not even considered a branch of socialism by most. Some argue that it's the same thing as anarchy. Maybe you weren't watching the news on January 1, 1994, but 3,000 armed Zapatista army insurgents seized towns and cities all over Chiapas. They let prisoners go and set fires to buildings. Ya' know what? That sounds a lot like the anarchistic movements of Europe, doesn't it? They're anarchists buddy.
Maybe they're just misunderstood.

By the way I have two of their songs on my Ipod at the moment. Bulls on Parade, and Killing in the Name of. I like some of their songs, just not what they believe in.

Redwood City, California. City in Northern California.
Oh. Not near me, then. Regardless, I'm sure Redwood City is a safer place thanks to you! :D

(that sounded really corny when I read it aloud... :( but I really do respect the police's work)
I apprecieate it. Even if most people don't agree with what I do, I absolutely love my job and wouldn't trade it for any job in the world.

IMO rap/rock is overdone and Linkin park blends rap into rock/metal the best so people try and copy em.
But how can a genre really be 'overdone'? Why isn't metal overdone, or other genres? Are you saying it in a gimmick/angle sense? If so, there are plenty of people who love the fusion, I personally don't see it as overdone. I can agree with the down with the Government thing being almost cliché.

That being said, what do people think of Flobots? I quite like them.
THANK YOU! I'd totally forgotten about the Flobots! Handlebars may have been my favourite song of 2008. I've only heard that one song, but I like that one?

RATM are... Alright. I have an album that I listen to if I'm in a "FUCK THA SYSTEM" mood, but I usually use the Sex Pistols for that. God Save the Queen and all that ;)
I like Flobots quite a bit actually, Handlebars was an awesome song, but their album has even better tracks than that on it I personally feel.

Rage Against the Machine is okay, but maybe people hate them because they suck. I mean all their songs are like:
"George Bush sucks! Geoarge Bush sucks! X5
[confusing and bland rap lyrics about W sucking]
George Bush sucks! X10
W!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SUCKS!"
I mean, EVERY song is like that, it's lame.
Yeah, except they broke up before he even took office. You obviously don't seem to know much about them.
Well, first of all, it was an example. Second of all, I'm sorry, I meant George H.W. Bush, BUT! third, they broke up in 1999.? huh, they broke up in 2000. Testify came out as a single then and I remember when they broke up, 2000 (wikipedia says so too) And had they broken up in 1999, they could easily have hated George W. Bush, because if you know anything about politics you would know that the candidates start campaigning at lest a year before the election.
That being said I do enjoy Rage's music, I just question their lyrical variety and what not.
Obviously, my example was a gross exaggeration, but many of RATM's members are active W haters. They just have the balls (or lack of creativity) to say it. I just dislike political music.
The thing about RATM is that they rarely name-dropped anybody specifically, their lyrics usually targeted general government, institutions, and social habits. And even though W. was running for office while they were around, they were still playing long before he meant anything to anyone. In fact, they were at their peak from their debut in '92 till the end in '00 while Clinton was in office.
Hence the term GROSS EXAGGERATION. I chose W. because they DO hate him and he is a current figure, so he would be relevant. They hate the government and we get that, they don't need to addresses how much our leader sucks in every song, we know they hate the leaders.

Without the lyrics? EPIC. Pure epic. The guitarist is just plain a god among men.

With the lyrics=Ear rape.
this. The lyrics are garbage. Tom Morello is a freaking genius though.

I love Rage Against the Machine for going against the government. Although not solely for that reason, that would be pointless...I do love their music as well, their political standing is just a bonus.
