I only rage quit in single-player. Or if there is obvious cheating going on, i.e. boosting or care package glitching on MW2.

I've done it once, because I was new to the game (It was only of the WC3 battle.net games) and everyone (even on my team) was insulting me. Eventually I was like 'fuck this' and I left, just before we lost. I'll do it at LANs, but mostly that's just friends joking around.

I never ragequit either, if I lost, then I lost fair and square...usually, and hopefully I can learn from it. Especially with fighting games, I can see how they might not want to get more losses on their player record or what not, but seriously?? Just learn from your mistakes.

I did however make an Akuma ragequit on SF4 over the weekend, after I whooped his butt with my Cammy =P
I love Cammy, mainly because I hate shotos. I remember when I used to main as Abel, and I viciously destroyed this Ken user(Something I never did as Abel) He quit right I pulled off an ultra that would KO him. I was pretty pissed.

Rage-quitting is a pathetic thing, and not tactically smart if you are on the losing end. Doesn't anyone read The Art of War anymore?
If fighting is sure to result in victory then you must FIGHT!

Sun Tsu said that... and I'd say he knows a little more about fighting than YOU DO PAL because he INVENTED IT... and then he PERFECTED IT until NO living man could BEST him in the ring of honour.

Then he used his fight money to buy TWO of every animal on earth. Then he herded them onto a BOAT... and then he beat the crap out of every single one of them.

And that's why any time a group of animals are together in one place it's called a ZOO!

UNLESS IT'S A FARM.
I think I love you.....and, rage-quitting is a *****

Exactly. If a team is playing a cheap game, like using the unholy trinity of Marathon/Lightweight/Commando, grenade spamming, or glitching in MW2, I see no reason to play to the end just to give them the satisfaction of a victory that wasn't earned. I want it to be empty, meaningless, and hollow.

Lol, one of my classes has that unholy trinity, but it doesn't matter cause I rather much suck.

Usually with friends, they understand. Hell, most of the time something comes up and they are cool with it.

I ragequit when IBM is getting the best of me.

On an actual game: Once you play DOTA, ragequitting seems like an option instead of something to be avoided.

I've only done it twice in MK vs DC Universe I hate playing against people that are cheap(by that i mean using one special move over and over and etc.) So I decided to just not play that game online anymore.

I've seen the DOTA abbreviation a lot on the site. What does it mean?

Defense of the ancients* It's a mod map with Warcraft 3. It's community is on the same level of immaturity as xbox live. There's a few problems too.

1.It's very hard to get into.
2.Everyone hates newcomers.
3.It's pretty hard to master.

Ragequitting happens very often. The other player gains a lot of experience with each kills. They often prey on players with lower levels. It's call feeding. When a weak player happens to die a lot, they often get shouted at. Most of the time, the player leaves or the entire team leaves.

If you want to try DOTA, get into a clan and play an organized match.

Not much of a PC gamer, but if I get a nice gaming laptop(Yeah yeah I know). I'll give it a shot. My current laptop runs TF2 but it looks awful. I need to build a better one. I don't want a PC because I would have to share with the family.

It's a Warcraft 3 mod map. It doesn't take much to run with. I can run it with my old Macbook.

EDIT: I'm serious though. Get some friends to play it. Otherwise, you'll hate it.

UFC Undisputed used to have a major rage-quitting problem before they patched it. In ranked mode you could avoid getting a loss on your record by yanking your connection. So many times I'd have someone almost finished off and then they rage quit.

Play through the end of the round etc, if it is really a terrible situation, move on and get into a new server/game or take a break. Each match/game is a new opportunity. Denying people their earned win is a huge dick move. Unforutnately, a lot of people use the anonymity of online games to let their inner-dickness run wild. Especially when VOIP is involved.

Most recently, Aliens vs Predator online, as it turns out I trophy killed the host 5 times in a row. Apparently he didn't take kindly to that and he ragequit, kicking everyone from the entire game and meaning we all lost out on experience. Then I got messaged with abuse, worst kind of ragequitter, I just sent a message back saying "QQ moar."

No host migration FTL.

I however, never ragequit, it's dishonourable at best, I can't do with a black mark on my honour, well, unless I'm playing Halo 3. I usually get so bored before the game finishes that I can't stomach playing on.

I onec got dominated playing age of mythology. THe plaeyr I was playing saw some mistakes I was making. I have snese learned from that. I thanked him and moved on with my life after my last unit was destroyed.

I'd hav ea story about starcraft but everyone kicked me fom their games.

Not in a one on one, maybe if I'm being completely owned in a game of MW2 and i'm not going to get any better, but one of my friends have a dial-up connection so when we were playing search and destroy it was only him left and my other friend phoned him:D
