Easiest way to beat Mass Effect 2 on Insanity: Engineer, upgrade Drone to Attack Drone to distract Scions and Harrbinger, Heavy Incinerate for all armor and flesh, Overload for shields, and have Jack's Warp Ammo as your special power. Things die quickly then.

Also, as the good Father said in HL2 "If you want my advice, aim for the head!"

Just Cause 2 - Water may bring forth life but, it will kill you if you jump in after a 10KM chopper-dive.

Brutal Legend - Enjoy the scenery as you drive around, listening to metal and looking for the many extras you need to unlock

Just Cause 2: The map is frikin' huge.
That's not a tip, it's just a statement. It's like me saying mario has a desert level :p

How about on Mario, run ALWAYS!
I do it and it works well for me, as long as you don't mind dieing a few times :3

In Fallout 3, focus on getting your home/apartment in either Megaton or Tenpenny Tower asap.

Having a safe spot to offload your gear and items that you collect in your travels definitely makes life easier. As well as a safe place to run for it if you happen to be nearby and some heavily armed raiders decided they deserve your gear more than you do.

Day of Defeat: Source

Cook your grenades before throwing them. When they lie on the ground for more than 5 secounds, they will be most likely thrown back on your head and the explosion hurts.

Aim for the chest and the head, don't aim for the arms and legs.

If you haven't deployed your mg, fire only if the enemy is close to you.

Backstab enemies if they have not noticed you.

If the enemy takes two shots or more to kill, and there's three of them, shoot your load.
No need to save your ammo.

Also
Imagine feeling the pain your character is going through; it will save your life if you are more cautious.

In Quake 3 always pick up the rocket launcher, railgun, grenade launcher, even if you already have the gun. Just one of these ammunition types is the difference between death or a frag.

Also: the machingun is ridiculously accurate, and it along with the shotgun are priceless on 'space' maps.

To be honest anyone who plays Quake 3 probably knows this already so I don't know why I'm spouting this.

Make sure you take advantage of those High G turns, but watch your airspeed because you can stall easily. Punch the afterburners at all times while dogfighting.

Oh, I got a few more (I'm bored, and real wealth of knowledge to boot)

Culdcept Saga - When paying a massive toll, discard your LARGEST lands first. Yes, I know you want those to get back in the game, but they actually pay out at a much better rate. You can use the money you'll save to build up smaller lands in a few turns.

Dungeons & Dragons - Never Split the Party.

All Games - GameFaqs is not your friend. It's for the desperate and frustrated. Perspective and time away often solves tough puzzles or boss fights on their own.

You're referring to Megaman 8, aren't you? The number of lives I lost over that part...
Yay you got the reference! You win an awesome point!

Any RPG: play the opening levels a few times just to get to grips with which class works for you.

also kill 'em all and take their stuff, for great justice.
