Read the manual after your first session on a game.

There's always something you missed in the tutorial.

The Ballad of Gay Tony: Yes, the Buzzard has infinite rockets and machine guns. Don't fly around spamming people. All it takes is one well placed rocket to take out anything besides the APC. Instead, fly over the target, shooting a few rockets at the ground in an "air strike" fashion. This is especially good to use in the second island, since many streets are narrow with no means of escape. Fly parallel above your target, and fire a few rockets down on him. Even if it doesn't directly hit him, the splash damage can light his car on fire.
Christ I hated that first chopper mission... I actually quit and uninstalled TBOGT because it pissed me off so much. I had no will to master that stupid chopper.

Oblivion- When trying to climb hills and such, choose the path with the most vegetation. They signal areas you can climb.

Mix online FPS matches with physical activity, say push-ups in between matches. It has made me play better before and gets you pumped I guess. And considering the amount of hours people play, I think I just solved childhood obesity.

Kingdom Hearts 2: If you're playing on Proud, level up your Drive Forms as soon as you get them. Each one you get also raises the level cap for all Drive Forms, so you should also level up previous Forms to their current max. Trust me. High Jump becomes a very invaluable tool in certain boss battles.

God of War 2: Square, Square, Triangle. It will be your best friend.

Batman Arkham Asylum: DO NOT MASH THE ATTACK BUTTON. It will not get you much XP.

Aquaria: Early in the game, after getting Bind Song but before gettting Energy Form, if you want to cook, bind a large boulder behind you, and swim into a school of fish. This will damage the fish, and when the fish are killed, they will sometimes drop fish meat and fish oil. Also, bind every plant you see. They will give you plant based items that will allow you to make healing items. Stock up on these before entering the Energy Temple. You may not need it, but you can never be too prepared...

Bionicle: The Game: Unless you are a Bionicle fan...don't even buy it.

Transformers: The Game: Again, do not buy it. Not even if you are a Transformers fan. I'm telling you, it's a waste of money.

Fallout 3: Don't jump off of the walkways of Megaton when you have no caps and no house. You will surely regret it...

Ultimate Spider-Man: Mute the Music. Just trust me.

Mass Effect: The Soldier class is good for your first playthrough. They can use Assault Rifles, which are the best weapon in the game.

Shall I continue?

Team Fortress 2:

If you're an Engineer and a few other Engies already have your bases covered, try setting up base in enemy territory. If done right, you can get a no un-offical leg closer to that last control point.

As Spy, always make sure no one sees you cloak/uncloak unless you're baiting them for something, like a Pyro ambush.

With the new Pyro change up, your Flamethrower flames are weaker, afterburn not from the flaregun is shorter, Back Burner has a slight boost and bigger crit range, and now you have more airblasts that can be used faster. With this being the case, try to get a good flank on the Heavy/Medic pair that HAS to be hacking to not die yet and toast/hurricane their ass to hell.

As Soldier, try to make your rocket paths less predictable so you can kill the maggots faster. And if you're using the Buff Banner, try and organize some sort of assault so the Mini-Crits don't go to waste.

As Demoman, blow stuff up. And as a Demoknight, try to catch the enemy of gaurd with your charge. Just because you are resistant to fire and explosives doesn't mean shit against bullets, buckshot, and syringes.

As a Medic, use your team as meat-shields. All they are to you are dumpkompfs to build one of your 2 possible charges up with. You could go a boring route and uber/kritz a Heavy, but try to throw the enemy off. The shear shock of seeing an Engineer with a glowing aura or electrified shotgun could just be enough to take down their defenses long enough for the Engie to set up shop.

As Heavy, try to be a more defensive Russian. No baby can withstand much up-close Sasha-Rape, but you go to crap at long range and not much better at mid-range. If you insist on staying in the field, consider bringing a Sandvich in case there are no medics or they all get their asses backstabbed or headshotted. The Dalokohs bar is good for a pre-encounter health-boost, but the painfully long Helath-regen and inability to be given to team-mates kills it a bit.

Scout? Run like a Roadrunner and jump like a Kangaroo on crack, I guess.

As Rifle sniper, only take the shot if you know it will hit. You'd be wasting ammo otherwise. also remember to keep on the move, as that heavy just might decide to go spy just to kill your Australian ass. If you are a Huntsman Sniper, lead the shot. An arrow is not as fast as a bullet, and you have to compensate for such. Jarate is a good replacement for the SMG because of mini-crits, but you lose some mid-range ability. And the Razorback? Well I've been able to backstab Snipers, even with the Razorback...so yeah.

Umm...

Resident Evil 5: don't bother carrying any pistol ammo. Give it to your partner, she'll gladly use it.

Battlefield BC2: As a medic, Kill all enemies before healing..not many do this

As asault: spray as much as possible dont worry about ammo(you have an unlimited supply)
with M-16 and An-94(i think thats what its called) have a very fast trigger finger)

As engineer: stick to vehicles thats what the class is for >=O always stick to vehicles your weapons do not have fair range and good accuracy.

As recon(actually any other sniper in games): Dont be an idiot stay kaput! Dont run out thinking your gonna get "Boss ass headshots pwning dem nubs" Also have good aim. Nothing pisses me off more than a sniper that cant fucking aim and doesnt get a single kill.

In general: Take lots of cover lots! Dont run out with your health down. Take cover, kill enemy, run away, rinse repeat.

Hope i help with your BF BC2 multiplayer experience.

Halo 3: Aim for the body, headshots only insta kill an opponent with no shields and only with combat rifle/carbine/pistol/sniper weapons. Sniper rifle kills in 1 head shot because it breaks shields and has enough left over to finish them off.

Oblivion: ALWAYS TAKE RESTORATION MAGIC AS A MAJOR SKILL

It levels slow, and the higher your skill, the cheaper the spells cost and the better spells you get, which means more healing.
Every class benefits from Restoration.
Heh, I know a better way of training that one. It ties into my tip too.

Oblivion magic training:

1. Create custom spell that has some type of non-lethal effect on yourself (eg, 2 healing points +1 point fire damage to self). The spell should use less magicka per second than you can regenerate.

2. Find area in town where you can stand still for long periods of time.

3. Weigh down cast key (I used a small stack of pennies)

4. Read book/do homework/ listen to music...

5. Enjoy higher spell level.

Portal: Don't get too attached to the Companion Cube. Treat your relationship as purely professional, and it won't hurt as much when...it happens.
I never really got why people cared about that box.

Halo 1&2- Plasma Pistols are your friend, overcharge the suckers against Elites to save time.

Oblivion: Unless you want to get a ton of levels right away, don't make Alchemy a Major Skill. It takes almost no effort to get it maxed out, and once it is you can just find good ingredients and make extremely powerful potions/poisons.

Pokemon: Being able to trump multiple types is much more powerful than the 50% damage bonus you get from using moves of the same type.

Metroid Prime 3: A lot of times, using one Energy Tank to deal with tough enemies is a better idea than saving the Tank and fighting normally.

ANY Ace Combat/Fighter Sim: DON'T play it like an FPS. DO Strafe, maneuver, and DO A BARREL ROLL!

ANY First-Person Shooter: DON'T be stupid. DO play it smart, and safe. Take cover, play as a team, and watch each others backs.

And finally: UP UP DOWN DOWN LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT B A SELECT START

EDIT: In Command & Conquer (or anything like it), always make sure you secure the resources first. Don't wait until you have units, don't wait until there is a good oppertunity. Make sure you have at least 1 expansion in the first 5 minutes. At the same time, you want to harass your enemy so they can't make a move on you or other resources. Attack fast and often - don't give them a chance to build defenses. Don't wait until you have a massive force of tanks, just go right on out there and kill them.

Oh, and one last thing (for those of you playing RA2): Desolators, DESOLATORS, DESOLATORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
