Random Thought: Is it possible to combine cake and pie to make the ULTIMATE pastry?

Ok, here's the part where I piss you off with a slight cop-out argument.

For one, you're mispinterpretting my idea. There's no reason as to why you've been made senseless and there's no reason as to why you're kept alive, you just are. Also, it's not a comatose or vegetative state. You can still move about, walk around, do whatever a normal person can. You simply can't feel yourself doing it. Sure, it'd be impossible to tell how much progress you're making in doing whatever you want to do, but you can still attempt to do it. You're still very much alive.

And finally, the part that very well anger you, it's my goddamn thought. It's not bound by yours or anyone elses logic. It's not bound by physics or reality. It's bound only by my imagination which builds the world and scenario within as I see fit.

As such, the person is alive, the person has no senses, and from there it's simply wondering how life would be like until inevitable death arives.

Another morbid, random thought: How far out can you remove the eye from the eye socket and still retain sight in that eye?

That could make for ultimate horror...
...You're a terrifying person.

OT: Which would be worse: Being AM or Ted in I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream? I can't decide.

Well, if it were only the 5 senses, I would say definitely yes. But, if we're talking a truly senseless mind...since we can't really know what it's like to be in such a state (and we can't exactly ask someone who is, what it's like) I'd probably have to equate it to what it must feel like just before death. And, until we can fix such a state, why not push them that last little bit? But, I might be a little biased, since that's what I would prefer in that situation.
Just a coma on the other hand, give me a few months to try to bring myself out of it. If i can't do it by then, it's probably not gonna happen.
Then there's a "vegetative state," screw that, just take me out and make it quick. I don't want someone changing diapers on me at this point in my life.
EDIT: I'm not entirely happy with this opinion, but, it would probably take hours of thought and writing to make one that I was. Technically speaking, even plants are a live, but, then you have to bring consciousness into the debate. If we're talking animals, technically anything with a pulse and brain activity is alive, it just comes down to the quality of that life and whether we'd want to experience it.
You can't really ask the senseless now. We can't prove there's not intelligence in animal or plant. That's the thing, when we are face with a human, it's a different story, isn't it?

Wow... I never really spoke against anything you said here. I just thrown a philosophical question (Because of the topic) and now your piss because you think i was arguing? I think you should look back a reread all the post i've made.

I'm not pissed off at all, I'm just making things clear. It's my idea and so my word is final, after all.

The thing with my idea, however, is that you show more signs of life than someone in a coma, and less signs of life than a perfectly healthy person. Even so, you are still showing signs of life. In the end, you're still alive.

I find it odd that people want to go back in time and prevent major tragedies like the Holocaust when doing so would almost certainly cause all of us to cease to exist. I mean, something like the Holocaust had such a major impact on the entire world, even through the smallest day-to-day interactions that unless you were born before it started, it is almost guaranteed that the Holocaust was a factor that led to you being born.
The idea isn't flawed in the sense that you prevent one bad thing only to cause another, it's more that you prevent one bad thing and COMPLETELY CHANGE HOW EVERY SINGLE EVENT AFTER IT UNFOLDS.

How alive would you be? and i do mean you. What could you do in that state?

But what if you stay in that time period instead of returning to the present? But then you wouldn't exist, so you would have never prevented it, but then what happens to present day you if you never prevented it? Oh god, time paradoxes...

I would be as alive as I could be. Mostly I'd just be able to think, but I could move around without seeing the results.

It's all about what you define as 'alive.' One could easily make the argument that people like us aren't truly alive for all we're doing is sitting about chatting over the internet...

Yes. Very much so.

OT: In an infinite multiverse, all possibilities are not only likely, but guaranteed to happen somewhere. One of those possibilities being a reality in which there is no multiverse at all. Think about that.
Ahh! My head! Paradox time.

EDIT: By the way I whole-heartidly recommend that anime. It's incredibly fun to watch, despite being a bit perverted at times...
Aww, I got blood all over my shirt...

OT: Why shouldn't we play God?
