Yeah...though Unforgotten Realms is what actually kept me here (and There Will Be Brawl).

Hmm well I have to say I enjoyed this game quite a bit. I had first decided I wasn't going to buy it, I had never bought the first one and it did not really appeal to me. But after trying out the multiplayer i was really taken aback. I had honestly not had that much fun in an FPS since, well, counter strike. And, although overall the campaign was slightly wonky. I thought there were some pretty moving parts. When Person X calmly shoots you, has his cronies poor Gasoline all over you, and then light you on fire, I was pretty darn moved.
Yahtzee on MW2.

Bah, I wish it wasn't from ZP.

In regards to the Nintendo lawsuit:

The character he is referring to is unlockable without Super Mario Galaxy, it just takes some effort. If he really wanted to unlock it, he could put in a small bit of effort, and do what is required to unlock it. That or rent Super Mario Galaxy. This case will be thrown out right away, or so I hope.
It was a thread called "Agoraphobic PS3 Owner Sues Microsoft, Nintendo" in the News Room.

"the big daddies and bouncers get boring once you can kill them in 6 - 10 shotgun shells... (depending on distance and difficulty) kinda ruins the point of having them and i was only up to Fort Frolic at the time.

my favourite boss fight though... Water Temple boss 'Morpha' from ocarina of time cause at the age of 10 i was superior at beating it than not only everyone in my family... but all of my friends, (didn't get damaged every time.)

So for the sheer fact that it built my confidence, Morpha!"

Here's mine from POLL: The inFAMOUS Dilemma"

"Hm... I guess it all depends...

Sure, it would be lots of fun to shoot lighting from my hands (especially at people who bug me), but then I wouldn't be able to swim or stand in the rain or even take a shower for the rest of my life (Though if I could pick my power, then I'd go the shape-shifting route).

And there's the whole matter of killing thousands just to activate it that makes the choice difficult. I'd probably gather enough criminals and other sociopaths and activate it there."

I fell into Morrowind a few years back after my friend picked it up on the XBox. I (wisely, it was later determined) picked it up on the PC and thus was able to experience the joys of mods, fast load times, no crashes, and a generally better play experience. My friend came over and played on my PC for a time, and together we reached the conclusion that Morrowind really was a game intended for the PC. It was beautiful, easy to lose yourself in, and fully followed the mantra of "Be whatever you want, do whatever you want. This is not a game to play, it is a world to live in."

Oblivion was exactly the opposite. It felt like a game designed for the 360 and then ported to the PC.

The skills were paired down more than I liked. The quests were incredibly linear and had waypoints each step of the way. Every dungeon was created by a computer, not hand drawn, so they were all collections of the same ten dungeon "pieces" (see: CoX instances). Enemies and loot were entirely based on level. Every piece of loot laying out in the open was garbage. The game was finishable (and, in fact, easier) at level 1 and with fast travel only took about 3 hours if you were trying. When you were outside, you were either in the woods or it was snowing. When you were inside, you were in an aleyid (sp?) ruin, a fort, an aleyid ruin, an aleyid ruin, or a cave. What this means, for those keeping track, is that every time you passed a place to explore you knew what would be inside, exactly, because you knew all the indoor layouts and the enemies and loot were based on your level. Several NPCs could not be killed, several items could not be dropped, and the whole thing generally felt much more "on rails" than an Elder Scrolls game really had any right to. Finally, the whole UI was obviously designed for players who sat ten feet away from the screen.

To say that I was discouraged by Oblivion would be an understatement, however, I will admit that they did combat *right* in that game, which was a welcome change from Morrowind's route of "combat should hurt the gamer".

Also, first post.

here is my thoughts on all this,

First train of thought: who should be the commander in this game? (aka the top down RTS general role)

My idea: Since it's an fps game, no one playing it can really be expected to be good playing a RTS role. My own fps skills are pretty good (if i do say so myself) but when it comes to an RTS i'm a fail general. Also anyone good at RTS games plays them on a PC not a console, since there are so few good RTS on consoles. It would be cool if a player on a PC could act as the General for the console players. The keyboard/mouse contol scheme would make it easier to contol anyway.

Second train of thought: Microtransactions, good or bad.

my Idea: Being able to pay real world money for an in game advantage is a bad idea. We all know why this is.

but how about this

since an eve online corporation is paying you some form of ingame currency to fight for them (I'm guessing isk). Then make all in game weapons cost in game money to use. Everytime you respawn you have to pay for a new weapon and new equipment. And if your out of cash you get provided with cheep, crappy, second hand equipment that has been salvaged from the battlefeild. then just kill someone to get there gun and equipment loadout (hopefully its better than yours). There could be an option for the corporation to pay to give you a great gun and good equipment each time you spawn. this would give some value to in game currency. player would compeat to be employed by the richest corporations.

other thoughts of what would be cool:

corp has to pay the eve market value of a new clone each time a player working for them respawns.

corp can pay extra to outfit it's army with better vehicles (or more of them)

would like to hear about more game modes, battlefeild 2142 already had a ship/base destruction mode "titan" or something like that. a d-day like battle with space ships entering the atmosphere and dropping troops who could then assult bunkers and stuff would be awesome.

large scale battles with at least 20 players on each side.

hope this game is awesome when it comes out.

From: "First Look at the CCP Game That Isn't Eve Online"

This is from way back when I took time to think out long (and thoughtfull) replies to threads.

I never much cared for LittleBigPlanet, though the reviews were rave and I recognized the production values were top notch, it just wasn't my thing i guess. Same thing with Metal Gear Solid 4. Also could never find the the spark to finish Bioshock, though I've been meaning to do that for a few years...
Still meaning to. Some day...

That depends what you're talking about 0 is not a member of the empty set or any set not containing 0 but it certainly is a member of some sets i.e. {0,1} contains 0.

Why not just play the game from the beginning? Make every moment count, the game will wear off the higher you get, when it gets harder to level up.
