um, the developers would be stupid to not go for the most capital possible, so releasing on xbox is a good idea, since there are more sold than ps3's. of course under this logic they should come out on all consoles, but some can't afford to go that far, and it's not a simple port to go to the wii.

I mentioned this on another thread but I think rather than making one console (a really bad idea) they should allow other electronics manufacturers produce game machines that play their games. I didn't buy a 360 because of the rrod but I would consider a 360 game playing console by a Panasonic or a Samsung... if it didn't also have a chronic hardware defect.

If there was only one console and that had a chronic problem, I would go berserk.
From what I hear the red ring has diminished considerably.

Anyway, the main problem with this is that consoles are sold at a loss and must be compensated by game sales so either the third party consoles (which would suck if not produced by Logitech) would cost much more than the first party or everyone and their mom would have to get an arbitrarily sized piece of the pie for these consoles to succeed.
I hear the Jasper model is supposed to be better. Only time will tell but It's too late for me, I already got a ps3 and don't feel the need for both. Had there been a 360 game playing machine that didn't have a chronic hardware problem, it would've been worth paying more (for me) for the better hardware. That's why I got a ps3.

As long as they keep fighting eachother for my satisfaction, then I'm happy the consoles are warring.

Though I'm pissed they keep throwing money out to get franchises. Money which could fix their CRAPPY SYSTEMS.

I don't care if it's a computer. All those errors are still signs of a bad console. I bet a new error will replace the RROD and e74 when they launch a new web browser for it.

If Sony bought the right to have a former Xbox exclusive on the PS3, would you be upset with Sony?
I agree w/ you that he is complaining; lets be realistic though. What are the chances sony would dish out that kind of money? I'd have to give it no chance.
That really...wasn't the point I was trying to make with my post.
I know. I was just adding my own opinion to part of your post.
Ah. Carry on then.
So according to you, talent just evaporates? A person can just wake up one morning and forget everything they know?

And Microsoft were publishing the game as an Xbox exclusive. Then they dropped it, because it was good. It spent years in development hell, and was released years later by a minor publishers to very little awareness.
Yes, talent CAN evaporate. One word: Sonic.

And as far as Psychonauts is concerned...umm...just ...what?
They dropped it because it was good? >_<

No further comment...

This entire post is about evil ol' Microsoft stealing franchises? LOL.

Maybe its because the Playstation 3 is a failure. I loved my Playstation 2, but sometime in the development of the Playstation 3 the development team was replaced with.. something.. very bad. (It's 3 A.M., I can't think of anything snappy.)

Maybe its because I can see patterns, but does anyone see a dreamcast in the making? I suspect the Playstation 3 will fail and everyone will claim it was because it had artistic value that the public at large didn't "get." Which is as much bullshit now as it was then.
Oh yeah. 24 million people buy the Ps3, and it's still a failure. Sounds like someone is operating on fanboy logic.

Because SONY is all "r exclusievs r betta lololol", arrogant bastards.
And you Halo elitists are better? I smell more fanboy logic. Whoo-ey. It stinks of it in this thread.
Do you have any other explanation as to why Microsoft would drop Psychonauts?
Cause they made a damn stupid move. It happens, I cant name a company that hasn't done that at least once. I doubt that Microsoft went around to specifically kill psychonauts. There might have been a dispute of contract, monetary issues, or a some idiot higher up the corporate chain that dropped it.

Basically...shit happens. Doesn't make Microsoft bad. Same way mistakes and other stupid stuff don't make sony or nintendo bad.

Personally I like all of the three big companies. I mooch off my friends' PS3s and Wiis and they barrow my XBox 360. *shrugs*
