Really old games you'd like either ported to a newer console or remade with newer graphics.

Remake: (Even if it's just developer patch or community mods).

American McGee's Alice.
Grim Fandango.
Two great games, I loved Alice!

They actually just released one of my favorites on Steam: Tropico! It's now Vista compatible and works like a charm :)

The first two Mega man Legends games. Then we need a Mega man Legends 3! Come on! Those games were awesome!

Post your wish list.

Port: (For me, I need all these on PC, XP compatible. Damn you, console exclusivity!)
-------
Fable 2.

Remake: (Even if it's just developer patch or community mods).
--------
Serious Sam 1.
Grim Fandango.
If you ask me, you're not missing out on much when it comes to Fable 2. Mind you, the controls would be a lot better if they ported it to PC. In my opinion, though, the first Fable is a lot better than the sequel.

I totally agree with those two remakes though. I'd love to see Grim Fandango get remade like Secret of Monkey Island was.

As for Serious Sam, I heard they were remaking that anyway. It might just be on XBLA, but it might also be on Steam so keep an eye out for it.

Super Mario RPG and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
havent you seen the Zelda series??? they are basically remakes.

anywhay, mmm... perhaps Half Life would be a nice remake, also, Majoras Mask (with the current lvl of complexity, that game would be AWESOME).
Somebody has already beaten you to that idea; http://www.blackmesasource.com/

They are remaking the entire game with the source engine!

Crimson Skies, remake or at least a sequel that hasnt been stripped down and given the arcade treatment.

Rogue Squadron, on the PC or a modern cross-platform game.

A newer starfleet command would be tatsy.

Call me a philistine but whenever a new game comes out in any given series I cant help but wish the origionals could be adapted to the new engine so in theory this list could go on forever...

Zone of the Enders

I'd rather see Zone of the Enders 3 first. Come on Hideo Kojima! You are the God of Awesome, you can do it!

OT: I'd like to see Persona 1 and 2 get a remake or port, but since Persona 1 is getting such a thing on PSP, I'll stick with Persona 2.

A graphical update for SW: KotOR would be awesome, considering it has fairly varied and cool areas.
The first two God of War games, for the same reasons.
God of War, those game's aren't even old, and the graphics are barely dated.
Meh, I guess not, it was just something that I came up with. Sorry for inciting your wrath? ;)

And might as well add this while I have the chance: Prince of Persia: Sands of Time.
I think that's old and "ugly" enough to be at least somewhat interesting to see in a higher resolution.
[sup]Never mind the new game, that doesn't count...[/sup]

I agree with the fact that most ports aren't too well received. Simply put, their mechanics were invented in a day and age where modern complexity just wasn't possible.

The General Public will call the games too simplistic if they are made exactly as they were years ago with updated graphics.

Conversely, if they do update the mechanics of a game for the modern console/PC generation, those people who are die-hard fans of the ported games will cry foul because the game developers changed the core of the game that made it so popular.

Freespace 2
Resident Evil 2 - 3 (because Resident Evil 1 is done on gamecube).

And that is just about it.

Didn't mean for the previous post to be construed as wrath, so my apologies if that's how it came across. But, yes a revised Sands of Time would be great.

Any Megaman X game. It worked for Megaman X1 (Maverick Hunter X on PSP) It can work for the rest of them!

WCW/nWo Revenge. Throw in CAW and full entrances and it'd be PERFECT.

Gaaa good Strategy RPGs just don't come out any more. Fire emblem cant sasiate my hunger for Pokemon like dragons that evolve and have multiple faces with all different attacks.
But 3D graphics for this one is a must.

Morrowind with better graphics and a fast travel/mount system
Sonic the hedgehog back back to the good old fashioned 2d side scrolling version
Kid chameleon in a new plat-former/brawler type of game
Monster Hunter for a next gen console

think that should be all of my choices but i will probably have to come back and edit this post later when i think of more

Bushido Blade redone or given a proper sequel to make it a trilogy but that is almost impossible for various reasons [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bushido_Blade_2].
