I once got yelled at for "slacking" in WoW when I was completely new to DPS in instances - apparently, all the other guys have those talent trees and skill sequences hardwired into their genes.

And also in WoW, I got kicked out for rolling need on a weapon which I actually needed (well, actually it was that there were two very good drops for my character in short succession and therefore I rolled need on both, but other players wouldn't listen to my explanations).
I've had the same issues, its stupid when people complain when you actually need the kit.

Also i got chewed out for 'slacking' on WoW when my computer had dc'd. The guy was having a go at me and i wasnt even online!

Oh thats because those kids think Sniping is suppose to be like this. They think its cool to quick scope.
Sure, I'd like to see them noscope their way out of a shooting range...

The game's rated M for mature. I've yet to see anyone less whiny than a week-old baby. Christ, the 12 year olds today have such a sense of entitlement. Darwin must be smiling in his grave.

Well, I'm not good enough at CSS or MW2 to pull off all those crazy moves. I'm actually kinda average leaning on good when it comes to intense games like those. I can definitely hold my own on any difficulty level, and a good partner to have for co-op, but trying to memorize all the shortcuts in WoW to chain techniques or learn all the strategies in SC and my brain will melt faster than ice cream in the Texas sun.

However when Gears 2 came out I was REALLY looking forward to interrupts. No more dodge rolling thru machine gun fire to instakill some poor schmuk (me) now they'd have to face me the way a true gunfight would play out. Thing is, they advertised this feature quite a bit, and yet on launch day the first thing those Gears 1 dumbasses did was try dodge rolling. Again, and again, and again. My lancer tossed 'em back outta their roll, mowed 'em down, and I laughed at their defeat.

Everyone bitched about the new mechanic then rage quit en mass.

Good times ^_^

When I first started playing WoW, I had NO idea what I was doing. I tried tanking and DPS, and I just got a ton of shit for being nervous or shy.
Or if I hadn't looked up the right map, or gotten lost.
I still hate running instances with groups. Boosties ftw <_<

I've gotten shit of TF2, but I'm shit af FPS', and I got kinda freaked and just kept getting killed <_<

Oh **** those 'hard scope!' moaners, that fucking makes me laugh. Most people that play MW2 get really upset if you camp, hard scope, noob tube or generally play the game in a way that they don't like. Just tell them to shut up and mute em.
I will laugh if any of them ever go to war.

*camper shoots him in leg.*
"What the hell man? You're not supp-"
*Headshot, *****. no respawns either.*

accusations about spying in EvE Online. but it works.

il give a example. 2 teams were going to have a match in a pvp tournament during EvE fan-fest. one guy is spying for his team and he had a pang of guilty conciseness. and asked a supervising GM if what he was doing was Wrong. the GM reply "is spying illegal in EVE?" no everything goes and that is the fun part

I've been banned from a lot of CSS servers in my time. As they're setup by the people then there's many admins with a firm grip on their ban keys. So I've been banned for "hacking" many times, think the best one was when I was accused of wall-hacking because I turned around and went the other way. So changing your mind is illegal.

I also fell asleep in a WoW raid.. well I guess that's my bad.

I've been yelled at and called a cheater in BC2 a few times because "I'm invincible to bullets and they were shooting me and I didn't die", I've tried to explain that it's the game's less than perfect hit reg and it affects all of us, but they don't really want to listen.

Me and my buddies playin MW2 got criticized because we had made a phalynx of riot shields and charged the enemy base. I guess its illegal to apply real life stategies now.
that's...actually quite brilliant. I am amazed you could even pull it off. My hat goes off to thou and thine friends.

Ive given up playing MW2 (level 70 + 10 prestige) fighting my way through abuse and hate.
I never camped or modded (although I was a knife ninja for 1st 20 levels) the only trick I ever used was putting a small piece of bluetack where my ironsight or scope pointed on my screen and used that =)
Im not very good at fps but that helped masssively.
I know it's not how your supposed to play but i eventually got better and played properly

OT: I got raged at by some kid for following him for fun and killing him after like 2 minutes of just running behind him, he watched the 'Killcam' and screamed at me for 'cheatiing' and cryed because im a girl and beat him, i have nothing against a kid playing but that was just pathetic

I was yelled at for planting the bomb in a sabotage game in MW2. I'm sorry, I forgot the new law of MW2 matchmaking: Any mode other than deathmatch is simply a race to get a nuke.
I can sympathise with that. Me and a pal got chucked into a Sabotage server against a full clan who were just kill farming. Good enough to beat us anytime they liked but they just spawn raped, that kind of nonsense is part of the reason I stopped playing MW2.

On topic, well each thing that was said to me on MW2 was contender for most outrageous comment, it's like all these 13 year olds forget they're talking to real people.

I hate it when people rage at me for jumping. I had one guy try and vote to kick me in Cod4 for jumping when I killed him and running around in his teams spawn killing people.

I don't get yelled at online. If I wanted idiots shouting at me, I'd work in a school or go to college instead of University.

I don't play on xbox live, because it's full of failed abortions.

I blame the poor community management and lack of beta testing, which leads to hugely unbalanced maps and weapons.

I've located your problem. In the probably 300+ hours I've spent playing Team Fortress 2 on PC I could truly count the number of assholes with a mic on one hand.

I wish I could say the same. 12 hours and about as many assholes. Guy yelled at me for staying back to defend the second point out of 2, where I killed 4 or so people who would have won the game if I wasn't picking them off because they stand still in the very center of the control point. I don't care how little people we have on each team, if there's a good defense point for a sniper, I'll damn well take it.

I'm not up on my RTS jargon, cause I suck at human-vs-human RTS games... What's a 'cheese' strat?
Creating alot of powerful units and sending them en-mass at your enemy, or clumping them near or in your base.
Hmm? No, I believe cheese refers to "cheap" techniques that are easy to pull off, that can generally, against newbies, win you the match early on. Altho more skilled players know how to counter cheese, so it's not a game-breaker. ei. sacrificing economy early on to get some super early zerglings, and rush their workers for a quick easy win.

A guy was yelling in TF2 cause everyone on the team needed a medic, and instead of becoming a medic himself and helping the team he just yelled at everyone else to be one...for like 30 minutes...he was yelling so loud I finally put my headset in and talked to him about it...and all he did was yell at me for not being a team player...noob
