here is an idea for free: YOU CAN BLOW UP THE FUCKING TANK, it isnt my fault they were too stupid to realize that the stick grenades kicked ass against them.
[sarcasm]Oh yea, because the Wild West only had Revolvers, they didn't have weapons like Shotguns and Rifles.also, being called a sniper whore in Red Dead Redemption, since obviously in the wild west there was only revolvers.
That sounds like a lot of fun actually.still satisfying killing a guys horse while he is out in the middle of nowhere.
That last quote was so hilarious, I just had to screencap it:ultrachicken said:...What?
There's something wrong with using the scope?
I'm baffled. Just write it off as those kids being pissed off that you killed them.
OT: I got yelled at during a halo 3 match for shooting a guy on a mongoose as he attempted to run me over. The conversation went like this:
Him: FUCK YOU
Me: what?
Him: YOU DONT SHOOT A FUCKING MONGOOSE
An overly competitive strategy, that is usually a "one trick pony", which might very well secure the user his win, but will not make for a very fun game. For an example, in Starcraft, Protoss can use the Cannon rush, which, if countered, will leave the user in a very bad position. If it succeeds, however, there is next to nothing you can do, and the only thing to do is wait while the user bleeds you out slowly.Goth Skunk said:I'm not up on my RTS jargon, cause I suck at human-vs-human RTS games... speaking of sup com, i got yelled at once when me and my buddies saw a guy on the other team who was obviously ridiculously good, we recognized him from some leaderboard or other, so they sent me because i wasn't very good to go suicide his commander with mine... that actually was kind of a cheese strategy so i won't yell at him for thatTerranReaper said:Twenty minutes and they're bitching about you being able to push their attack back and then proceed to counterattack? If I got killed by someone using a highly creative and unorthodox strategy then I would praise them for their cleverness. Some people just cant handle losing I guess.TerranReaper said:Twenty minutes and they're bitching about you being able to push their attack back and then proceed to counterattack? Marik2 said:Wow that's extreme garbage. My friend is obsessed with MW2 and keeps going on about how tactical it is, yet you have morons jumping around with sniper rifles and instantly aiming precisely and killing with one shot. Or other morons jumping around with shotguns.Krion_Vark said:Snip
This is stuff you see in Serious Sam or Red Faction 2, it's retarded.
Everyone whines about EVERYWAY to play in that game. I got yelled at for using a shield, so I changed classes after 2 rounds of pissing the guy off, then he whined that I use the spaz shotgun. It's a joke, it's just plain stupid.
You know what game it takes skill to snipe in? Bad Company 2 because the bullets have travel time and gravity, it's not point and fucking click with quick scoping.
Man that video really made me annoyed.
Odd, the TF2 community is probably one of the best I have ever encountered.Shru1kan said:Hiphophippo said:Krion_Vark said:Okay. So I haven't played XBLI've located your problem. I wish I could say the same. 12 hours and about as many assholes. Guy yelled at me for staying back to defend the second point out of 2, where I killed 4 or so people who would have won the game if I wasn't picking them off because they stand still in the very center of the control point. I don't care how little people we have on each team, if there's a good defense point for a sniper, I'll damn well take it.
Sorry, no. The second you step into an instance you're with 4+ other guys who're all relying on you to do your job as much as you're relying on them to do their job. I don't care if you feel it's "cruel" or "elitist" or whatever, by not doing literally ten minutes of research you are hamstringing and wasting the time of 4 other guys/gals.Serris said:actually, no. you should not have to study up on specs/rotation on a gameAmnestic said:Or, you know, we go out and research.RyQ_TMC said:I once got yelled at for "slacking" in WoW when I was completely new to DPS in instances - apparently, all the other guys have those talent trees and skill sequences hardwired into their genes.
If you were max level, people expect you to have at least had a cursory glance or asked around as to what the best spec/rotations are. This is especially true when your group has evidently been to this instance a few times before and is interested in completing it as fast as possible for badges/drops/gold/whatever rather than being held back by a deadweight member.
Elitist? A bit.
However this is how it is. If you don't want to be told you're deadweight, you should probably be running with friends rather than PuGs.
Although they might ***** about you behind your back ololololololol.
if you're a fresh lvl 80, then you will probably run a few normal lvl 80 instances first. this will not only improve your gear, but also improve your skills (the rotation you speak of).
you don't have to read up on how other people tell you to play the game. if people want a character that does exactly the same every instance "because it's the fastest", they should multibox.
