I'm about 20 minutes away from going to the library; I'm thinking of picking up some music to put onto my computer while I'm there.

Any recommendations? I'm a big rock junkie, but at this point in my life, I'm pretty much open to anything! Just as long as it's good!

Go pick up "De-Loused in the Comatorium" by The Mars Volta if you don't have it already. It's their best balance of quality vs. synth nonsense (I'm lookin' at you, Frances.) "Take the Veil Cerpin Taxt" is an amazing way to end an album, and it's worth the price of admission alone.

I'll recommend Pixies cautiously. I don't know what kind of singers you like, but this one takes a bit of getting used to. Anyway, they directly influenced Nirvana and Radiohead, and if you saw Fight Club, you've heard one of their greatest songs. As far as albums go, either "Doolittle" or "Trompe Le Monde" would be a good place to start.

Also, you can never go wrong with Vampire Weekend. It's great fun.
