He did, but the problem is that in all of his other videos, he explicitly stated that it was either shit to start and got interesting, but still not good, or he said that he didn't play it fully. In Monster Hunter's case, you get to the big fighting missions an hour in (unless you intentionally repeat grindey fetch quest missions/do optional missions), yet he clearly never got to the boss fight, so he played barely any time and then made the entire game sound like it was the first couple tutorial missions.sticktrick said:I just watch his videos for the laughs,i think your a bit too sensitive if his oppinions on a game you like really get to you. And as far as not playing long enough, a game should be fun and immersive right of the bat. not everyone is willng to put up with a boring start of a game in hopes that it will improve later on. In fact, i think he has addresed the whole "it gets better later" thing in one of his videos.
In short: Monster Hunter fans aren't annoyed because he went "It's crap starting out, so I stopped", they are annoyed because he went "The entire game is grindey crap and fighting weak ass monsters" even though that's not what the game is about at all. (It's also nothing like Deer Hunter, and has no RPG elements, so I dunno where that comparison came from).
