The last anime I liked that I really enjoyed was Natsume Yuujinchou. I was kind of skeptical (teenage boy can see ghosts, ok) but I watched one episode and ended up hooked.

Also, crunchyroll.com lets you stream a lot of anime and dramas. I don't think they're free anymore, though, since they went legit.
