And I know I'm going to get stoned, but try Bleach. Just skip few fillers...
BLEACH HAS NO FILLER! Except when they're switching between the Aiden Arc and the Bount Arc...those stuffed animals are f**king annoying.

You want to talk about filler, watch Naruto. (muttering to self)I mean, a little filler to get to the end of a season is one thing, but have a little restraint.

No I'm not a rabid Bleach fanboy. Nor do I hate Naruto. I just like the series(pl.) and hate it when someone points out non-existent issues in those series(pl.).

Anyway, my recommendations are Soul Eater and Chrome Shelled Regios. I watch all my anime at anime media. Subtitles ftw!!

Gah! Now I have to go watch Soul Eater again! Only downside is Excalibur...
Wrong. Bount Arc and Sousuke Amagai Arc were all fillers. So was Soccer Game (ep. 204 and 205) and few other episodes.

They were made so that the manga writer has time to continue the plot. And to make sure anime doesn't catch up with the manga...

God Damn Me!

I forgot about Last Exile. Great graphics, story, characters and pretty cool air battles.
Sorry, hadn't gotten that far yet...And I overreacted. apologies.

Also, I forgot one. Mythical Detective Loki: Ragnarok. I haven't seen it on any of my usual sites, so be careful looking it up that you don't get trapped into an ad scheme...

I don't. Read an American comic, like iron man, or the watchmen. The art is better and the stories aren't all about only robots, sex, or ninja's.
...Okay, then. Apparently someone doesn't know a lot about manga and anime.

And the reason why I don't read American comics is because the majority of them are about superheroes. I'd like to read something a little more...you know...creative.

Wait did you just say superheros are not creative? You sir, have failed in logic.

Seriously, we have a guy who fancies himself as a vilgilante bat person, a guy in tights who lives a mild-mannered life until the call comes.. And a guy whom shoots FUCKING WEBS

That is just the most commonly reconigized stuff, their is even more weirdos in the bunch.

No, it's not a myth that there's a site that lets you download whole episodes of anime for free. I really want to tell you, but I'm afraid of being banned all over my face for advertising. Google search should hopefully turn something up. I don't watch anime anymore, but I keep a few references in case one of my friends wants me to get something for them.

Wait did you just say superheros are not creative? This, madam, is a perfectly reasonable opinion. I fail at research, spelling and grammar.

Seriously, we have a guy who fancies himself as a vigilante in costume, a guy in tights who lives a mild-mannered life until the call comes I have no idea who the hell you're talking about.. And a guy who shoots synthetic web material.

These are just the most commonly recognized examples, there are even more weirdos in the bunch.

There's been mostly good reccomendations in this thread allready, so I'm not gonna rack my brain.

But seriously?

Why would you want to watch streamed anime? Does your school block torrents or something?

Wait, so you are you going to edit my post without knowing what the hell I am talking about. It is very logical to revise what someone wrote when you do not understand what they wrote.

I'm about eight episodes into Death Note. It's the best anime i've seen so far. Although I've only watched Naruto before it. I think I have some catching up to do...

Uh...yeah, that wasn't a great one in my eyes. Yuri fans probably liked it though.
And how do you know that the original poster won't be into Yuri? Just because you don't think it's good, doesn't mean the OP will think the same thing. For example, I think Bleach is crap. Worthless storytelling methodology, in my opinion. If I tell a Bleach fan that his or her opinion of a good show is crap, does that make me right? Not at all.

I thought Strawberry Panic, Utena, and several other Yuri animes were supurb! I wanted to bring a suggestion to this conversation that went against the tide, and was still worth watching. Let the original poster decide for his or her self if Strawberry Panic isn't for them.

Also keep your patronizing posts to yourself.

Any of you guys seen Kaiba? It's not to be confused with the Yu-Gi-Oh! character. I watched some of the episodes. I think one or two of 'em made me cry like I hadn't since I saw Midnight Cowboy.

There are some of the older anime which are good. These include Speed Racer, Kimba the White Lion, Astro Boy, The Wings of Honneamise, Legend of the Galactic Heroes, and compared to a lot of bawdy anime comedies Love Hina is positively Victorian compared to Kanokon and To-Love Ru.

For more recent ones you have Genshiken, which is an interesting look at otaku in college. Watch that and you kinda understand the motives of obsessive anime fans and why they do what they do. There's also stuff like Macross Frontier if you like mecha, and, hmm, has anybody mentioned Hyakko yet? Or ARIA?

My favorite is Crayon Shin Chan, the Japanese version, not that crap that they made for Adult Swim that everyone seems to love.

I'm sorry, Bulletinmybrain, I did not know who one of the people you were talking about was... however the fact remains that your research, grammar, and spelling were inaccurate in several places, and I merely fixed it for you. You don't have to know one fact to be able to revise everything else they wrote... In fact, you could revise a writing for spelling and grammar without knowing anything about the topic. Sorry, but you lose.

Trigun
Cowboy Beebop
Afro Samurai
Berserk (seriously, Berserk is awesome)
Deathnote

And you should check out Ninja Scroll (the movie, not the series) and Vampire Hunter D -Bloodlust (not the original, that was lame)

Naruto is worth a look if you have the patience of a saint, or watch it for free somehow. There are a lot of flashbacks, recaps, and more flashbacks. So there's about 5 minutes of new story per episode.

I thought Welcome to the NHK was pretty good until about the 10th episode where the main character abandoned his pedophillic interests to instead make stupid life choices until the show ended.
