In before Duke Nukem Forever... that said... Duke Nukem Forever, it has its charms but it certainly can't be called a good game.

Not sure what else to add that hasn't been mentioned here, perhaps "Legendary" or pretty much every movie tie in ever

Turning Point: Fall of Liberty. After half an hour of this game i set it on fire in my backyard to banish it's evil from the planet. It sucks so bad.

Have you played Two Worlds? I think that could be one of those games.
OY dont you go knocking two worlds even if it does have the worst voice acting in gaming forsooth.

sure its dodgy in parts but for an open world game its remarkably stable. bethesda could learn a thing from these guys
I too was going to toss my hat in for Two Worlds. The PC version mind.

Fun fun times. Dodging effectively breaks the game, and the animals are adorably derpy. The world is quite beautiful, though it makes me kinda sad. There are a few places with just nothing there, likely caused by the dev team running short of time. Held up to Oblivion it had a unique personality, memorable and varied.

Cyberia... the game is awful. It's an old game, is ass ulgy, and you can die in hilarious ways (and almost all of them are completely unavoidable in your first run through).

You know the way people praise Dark Souls for bringing back the old grind system of learning by dieing? Yeah... this game did that in the worst possible way by offering absolutely no warning that you are about to fuck up in some way. The game just outright kills you for turning in the wrong direction, interacting with random details or just general exploration.

It has shitty game mechanics, a fucking awful story, infuriating action sequences, looks like ass, sounds like ass, is full of completely arbitrary solutions to stupid fucking problems. It was a bad game in its day, and age has not improved it any.

This is possibly the worst game ever, but whats worse, it's not even notable... this game is never mentioned anywhere in worst game ever lists. The guys at gameinformer are doing a super replay of this game and the Tim Turi, the guy at the helm, says its the worst thing he has ever played... and he only seems to get the bad games to replay (see Overblood, Overblood 2 and Galerians)

If you are particularly Masochistic I suggest you try the Play Station version, since it was made for PC first, then ported... BADLY... to the playstation. The action sequences were designed for mouse functionality and they didn't even try to adjust the difficulty for the D-pad usage (yes, its before analogue sticks).

If you are doing a bucket list of worst games to play before you die, this is it... and it may well kill you if you have a heart condition.

Note:If you want the worst experience possible, it must be the PlayStation version, Also don't look up any videos on it... they can completely ruin certain "events" in the game All you need to know is that its an FMV game (essentially an intereactive movie, but computer generated instead of live action). Think point and click adventures, but far less precise.

I hear Ultima IX is insultingly bad, especially if you've played any Ultima games before. But even if you don't know all the continuity they got wrong, from what I've seen it is pretty terribly designed all around.
Go to www.spoonyexperiment.com and cringe in disgust as you're shown EXACTLY what's wrong with the game. Aside from bad lore, it's clunky and not even out of alpha phase. No one tested this thing. A shining example of how game devs make good games DESPITE EA instead of because of them. I love Visceral because they came out with 3 great games (and one nasty mashup of God of War and Devil May Cry that raped Renaissance literature) despite time constraints and pressure. Everything wrong with the Mass Effect series could be contributed to EA as well, and people love those games. Ultima 9 came out like it did because EA forced a strict timeline and stole budget from it to keep Ultima Online alive.

If you watch the Ultima videos on the website, keep in mind that the reviewer has a running storyline and you'll be lost if you haven't seen his earlier stuff.

I haven't played it for myself, but you could try Revelations 2012. It's supposed to be like Left 4 Dead, but horrible.

Empire Earth 3.
Its an Rts, with the voice acting for the units so bad that I had to mute character voices to stay sane, and besides that the AI programming was the worst I've ever seen, I swear they just made the AI completely randomized in the actions, and everything is incredibly unbalanced, from factions to units to abilities. Also, its glitchy.

But it was the first rts ive ever played, so I still like it for nostalgia effect.

Punky Skunk...a game so bad it got a 1 / 10 ...I've never seen a game given a 1 before! Alledgedly the developers actually burned quite a lot of unsold copies just to be rid of them.

Pretty simplistic platformer.

From widipedia...

"The March 2006 issue of the gaming magazine Electronic Gaming Monthly (issue number 201) has included Punky Skunk in their EGM Retro article "Mascot Hell", along with Bubsy, The Noid, Kya, and Boogerman. [2]The article centered around bad mascots in video-gaming history, and explained why they were so bad. For Punky Skunk, they complained that the game's marketing team continually claimed that Punky Skunk had attitude, saying that he was:

"...a Generation X skunk with an attitude!" However, this was far from the truth; Punky's "attitude" had more to do with snuggling kittens and wearing flowers in his hair. Which means that he was such an abysmal mascot, that his own marketing team had to lie about him. And that's just sad. (But not as sad as the "sexy" pictures of Punky's female animal friends that appear throughout the game.)" "

Every single tie-in game from a movie is either completely devoid of fun, boring, and/or very bad.

If you want the best learning experience of terrible design decisions without spending money, try Kongregate [http://newgrounds.com]. Hell, even their featured games are usually heavily flawed in ways you never even appreciated. I think I've learned more playing stuff there than I have from some books.

As far as commercially sold games go, Monkey Hero on Playstation is an awful Legend of Zelda clone that I found oddly compelling... until it corrupted my save data several dungeons in. Every year or so, the random thought of buying it and playing it through pops into my head for the briefest of seconds.

Deus Ex: Invisible War. With the voice acting, and the overall ridiculous events that take place in that game, it's pretty damn funny if you go into it with the right attitude. It can be like MST3K, but with a video game.
