Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. There's an awesome scene where he responds to reporters who represent him negatively in the news papers. You'll know which one I'm talking about.

Since this is a gaming site, The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters.

It's a documentary about getting the high score in Donkey Kong. It's structured like Rocky and is very exciting with a lot of memorable characters and interesting facts. It's my favorite documentary.

3 Idiots, an Indian film with dialogue switching between English and Hindi as the characters speak. A funny, bittersweet, overall happy film about Indian students at an Indian engineering college and their eventual quest to reunite with their one buddy.

Persepolis, a French language animated film with an English translation about an Iranian girl growing up as the fundamentalist regime destroys the US backed dictatorship and takes over the country. Mostly sad, but with funny parts and a good message and story.

Lucky # Slevin. One of my all time favorites. I did not at all expect the twists and turns in this movie. I didn't know much about it before I saw it, but I'm so glad I did see it.

Cannibal Holocaust. It's the perfect romantic comedy to snuggle up next to someone with. Seriously. Do it. You'll thank me.

And there we have it. At least 73% of the movies nominated so far are NOT obscure in the slightest.

Black Swan? LA Confidential? Memento? Clerks? The Machinist? A Clockwork Orange?

REALLY?
To be fair, there's obscure, and then there's cult hit "obscure".

Ed Wood i guess because it bombed like crazy and no one I know has seen it. Perfect performences, Great direction by Tim Burton, and a very solid script make up this Amazing film.

Clerks. Or Clerks 2. Or both. Yeah, both.
There. I read your comment about twelve hours ago and have now watched clerks and the whole animated series. Good God I need to sleep now.

Literally any movie that you think is both obscure and enjoyable. The entire purpose of this thread is to expose myself to movies that I wouldn't have watched otherwise.
Okay, I'll stray from blockbusters and certain popular cult films, then. (I'll also attach my review, if I've posted it, if you want to read my full opinion on the film, or just want to hear more about it.) In my opinion, here are some more obscure films that are worth your time.

have you seen Battle Royalle or the original versions of The Ring or The Grudge?
There's an original version of the Ring?

(googles). Dammit. I couldn't sleep for two days after I saw the Ring. Now that there's another version, I have no choice but to watch it.
yup it also has a prequel that gives Sadako a back story it,s a while ago when I saw them (should re watch them someday)
