I'm bored of my music, but can't think of what to start listening too. Please no metal, everything else I'm good with :)
"The Bends" by Radiohead. Great album. Or for a more psychedelic rock experience, "Surrealistic Pillow" by Jefferson Airplane.

Daft Punk - Alive. Just so well done. Man I would love to see them live.

Wish you were Here - Pink Floyd. Beautiful album. Kinda short, but still damn good.
Dark Side of the Moon is fantastic as well. I'm genuinely torn as to which I like better.

"The Soft Bulletin" by The Flaming Lips - from beginning to end, that album is literally flawless; each and every song is beautifully composed, with some fantastic lyrics to boot. If you want something a little angrier, listen to "In Utero" by Nirvana. People often dismiss Kurt Cobain as being a sub-par songwriter, but I'd really have to question whether or not those people have actually heard "In Utero".

An interesting way to find a cross-section of Escapist music tastes without inciting hatred.

I'm going to recommend Personal Journals by Sage Francis. It's dense and hard to get into, and the fact it's rap at all may put a lot off, but it's well worth the effort.

The Beatle's "The Beatles" (AKA The White Album). Mostly Popular Rock (Paul) and Hard Rock (John) but there are a couple of other sounds in there too: Like the Country Rock sounds of "Don't Pass Me Bye", George Harrison's "Piggies" which is Baroque Rock, "Good Night" (Sung by Ringo but made by Lennon) is a gentle Lullaby, and of course, the Avant-Garde "Revolution 9".

Here is the official Track Listings. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Beatles_(album)#Track_listing]

Reel Big Fish - My Live Album is Better than Your Live Album (All of their singles, put together with funny banter and some covers)
Streetlight Manifesto - Any of their albums are pure gold. If you want good ska, listen to their first two albums, or their cover of Keasbey Nights. If you want good ska covers of classic songs, listen to 99 Songs of the Revolution.
Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution - Their EP is fantastic.
