I heard a lot of Vindictus in here. I'm actually going to propose its source game, Mabinogi. It does a lot of things right, such as a complex, real-time combat system and procedurally generated dungeons. It's half fantasy RPG, half Harvest Moon-the-MMO - you can level up by killing monsters or by crafting items/cooking food/playing music/etc. It also interestingly has a storyline that's pretty in depth and actually a bit intriguing.

One of its big selling points for me is its disassociation between clothing and stats. Barring edge cases, the vast majority of your ability to perform comes from skills that you earn and your own awareness of the system. Case in point: The heaviest armor grants 6 defense, whereas all clothing grants 2. Defense is a flat rate value that substracts the amount of damage you take by its value. This game has creatures that deal 30-60 damage in the newbie areas.

From a technical standpoint, it's also got a dynamic meshing system for clothes. Characters can be slim or fat, tall or short, and cover an age range of 10-18. Every article of clothing is meshed dynamically, without causing much lag.

Age of Conan. It's free to play with some advantages for paying customers. If you want to test it out then it's easy to get your free account and if you want to try the extra classes that comes with subscriptions you can do that after you have made up your opinion of the game.

I can't recommend SWTOR enough. It'll speak for itself when it comes out in December, though.

How old are you? Range wise. If you are looking for something combat wise, I'd say Vindictus is pretty descent. I got bored of it cause at the time it was early in the game and I got through most of it already, the side quests are grindtastic. But its gained popularity and more character options so I'd sa that.
I'm eighteen if that makes a difference

Ehhh yeah Vindictus is pretty good for that age, DDO if you find some friends to instance with, ummm Crimecraft isn't a true mmo but its a psuedommorpg shooter. Its been a while since I found anything that interested me. those were three I held onto for a bit, which in my mind is at least six months.
