Hello fellow Escapist!

Just as the title says. I have seen Only Fools and Horses, The Young Ones, Bottom, Love Thy Neighborhood, Little Britain, Father Ted and 2D TV. But I want to see some others, I'm personally not into The Office (I dislike Ricky) and not really a big fan of Mighty Boosh. So recommend me some comedies
Vicar of Dibley, seriously the best brittish comedy i've seen, and i've seen a few.
I've only seen about 2 or 3 episodes but overall I liked them.

add:
Blackadder

I'm not going to conform to your views because, I can't give my opinion on something that I haven't seen.
What I meant was that I agree with your list, but I would add those shows.

Red Dwarf (prfects British show)
Blackadder & Monty Python (classics)
IT Crowd & Black Books (modern greats)

British comedy is the greatest! Once you've had it you'll never go back :p

Wait, why does it have to be British?

Because there's plenty of good reaons for choosing a comedy other than that it's British.

Like y'know, it being funny.
most non-british comedy shows are terrible, but that's just my opinion
Fair enough, but the key part of that sentence is most, and not all British comedy is good.

All I'm saying is that "best comedy show" might have produced a more "cream of the crop" selection.

Peep show.

You definitely needed to see Peep Show.

And I suppose The Inbetweeners is pretty funny too. ^_^

Personally, I'm a bit partial to The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. It was written and directed by Terry Gilliam, one of the members of the Monty Python comedy troupe.

All British comedy is brilliant. Better than most of the unsubtle US rubbish we get here in NZ.

I wonder if anyone can identify this one I saw a few years ago?

All I remember is that it was about woman and man who had some sort of business. She did massages for a male clientele plus the odd handjob? At some stage she broke her arm or something, and he was convinced to carry on for her but with her commentary playing on a tape deck.

The clients didn't get to see him and he eventually started doing the handjob because it was such good money

Odd you should mention Father Ted. I was just about to watch a few episodes of it at Blinx.

Absolutely Fabulous, Benny Hill, Monty Python, League of Gentlemen, Mr. Bean.
